Ok guys. So I have wanted to do this for a while now. I play Tau and am starting to get into some larger games, like 5k Apoc. I want to bring a Manta to the field, but there is no way I'm paying $1600 USD with a fluctuating exchange rate. This thread is going to be my update thread. I will post pictures, give insight into what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. This thread is not only going to be my update thread, but I will also come here if I need some help for modeling or finding resources. Here is something that I am going for. This will not be my only manta to build, but I want to start off with something simple. Lets start off with the basics. A drawing. To start the scratch building process I'm going to need to make a drawing. To do this, I need dimensions. So far all I have been able to find is that its 25in. long, and has a 34in. wingspan. Although this is helpful, I need some more dimensions before I start to draw. Can anyone give me some help on this or point me in the right direction to where I can find it?

Your design looks like a more than reasonable substitute.

Now that you've made the one from cardboard, do you think you might make another stab at it with plastic?

All in due time, yes. That's a much bigger project, and I need to start with this one. I need better dimensions to start with, when I move to plastic, it needs to become more exact, so it looks very well done.

But lets not get ahead of ourselves, always start with the dimensions and a drawing.

Do you know where I can find more in depth dimensions on the Manta?
