So I have eighty- five grots hopefully fearless. I have a loaded for bear stompa that can shoot or go inot cc with nine killsaws and a killchoppa. I have a battery of lobbas raining down fire. That is the plan.

I would drop the saws - the stompa isn't an assault vehicle, so your meks will be sitting ducks for a turn before they can assault. They simply shouldn't.

I have no problem leaving the Stompa. I will be buffed by grots and I will be fearless as well ... I can also hide behind it. So if I need to assault I will.

I totally missed the telyporta or KFF. Well that's a pity but no matter ... I'll add some grots to the list. I'll edit it.

IMHO I think the list I made a bit ago would be more effective... essentially one CAD from the GHAZ supplement to get this at 1850

Ghaz Supplement detachment:

Big Mek on Bike with MEGA Force Field
Boss on Bike w/ Power klaw and pole
2 Meks
10 tankbustas
10 grots
20 Shoota boyz w/ 2 big shootas, nob with klaw
10 War Bikes
Stompa with Grot Riggers

other CAD
Big Mek with Fixer Upperz
Painboy on bike
2 units of gretchin

Tactics are basically this...

Bikes and Boyz follow behind Stompa unless something wants to assault it and they pop out and unload dakka on them if need be..., Most of them get cover from Big Meks 4+ shield, Bikes get FNP from Painboy...You'll have a stompa with a 4+ invul, one 3+ repair, and two 5+ repair per turn with it will not die :-)

Quick heads up on this: you can't take a Ghazghkull CAD. The only thing that defines something as being specifically from the Ghazgh book is if it's actually in there. So formations, or a Great Waaagh! detachment. Only then do you gain access to Orkimedes' Gubbinz. You are allowed to take CADs with the Ork faction, but since they're never sourced from the supplement you never gain the unique traits/rules/gear. You can rest easy though since your detachment already fulfills all the compulsory choices for a GW!D, so you just have to change it to that. It means you lose OS, but might be able to deepstrike something for hilarity. Even your Stompa. Which would quite frankly, be friggin' awesome.

I always say CAD out of habit but yes it would be a Great Waagh detachment thing, just so I have access to the orkimedes stuffs. Deepstriking a stompa would be interesting lol... I f I could get the bikes deepstriking with it, it's absolutely happening lol

Use yur Finkkin cap to roll on Strategy, if you get Master of Ambush, it would be Waagh!! Tastic!!

Can you take multiple Great Waaagh! detachments? I'm trying to figure out if I can get more HQs than two while using the Ghazghkull supplement. This detachment stuff is so confusing.

Your approach and my approach are entirely different. My defense is eight-five grots that can be FEARLESS surrounding a Stompa with eight meks aboard - very difficult to take down as you will never get close enough to use meltas for sure. Now it is exetremly difficult to eat throuh that many grots. And BTW, that grot prod in each squad is dangerous. I will absolutely try and fill the table with troops leaving as little sapce as possible for my opponent to DS, fly on the table etc. That is my defense. The lobbas and the Stompa are my main offense. Along with the SAG shooting of course. The lootas will supplement.

I can drop off passengers when I see fit ... lootas can be dropped off when appropriate for instance, a Big Mek can attack a squad in cover with burnas ... etc. etc. But the Stompa will always be surrounded three deep by grots.
