Subject: How to remove Citadel Chaos Black Primer?

Anyone know how to remove it? I've tried Mean Green, Super Clean, Mr. Clean, Pinesol, even tried an Ultrasonic Cleaner. This stuff does NOT come off, and I just tried to prime my Obelisk, which was rather expensive, and the primer didn't go on correctly. Now I'm afraid my whole model is ruined. Anyone know of anything?

I've had success using simple green. I set the models in a tub for two-three weeks and at the end of their soak i give them a scrub down with a old tooth brush. Only problem is that the simple green dissolves the glue, so expect some re-gluing.

Iv used purple power to get all sorts of paint off. but generally primer it self will not come off.
Also note that it may be possible that it is just stained so dont expect perfect grey plastic again.
wait pinesol? did your model melt?

I stick will walmart spray primer. Crap is only a buck and change and can come off when needed in a jiffy.
Also, see my signature link for using simple green.

Nope. Let them soak for like, a week straight, and nothing happened to them, at least my models that had Chaos Black primer on it.

Best stuff ever.
Yeah, I've tried Simple Green, Mean Green, and a bunch of other stuff, but never heard of this stuff. So, I went and got 4 bottles of it and I'm testing it on my Necron Warriors as we speak. I'm hoping for some good results.

I've used brake fluid to strip even etching primer off plastics.
(Note: NOT brake "CLEANER", this is the fluid that goes INTO the brake/transmission lines in your car - not the solvent used to CLEAN the shoes and pads of car brakes). Dot3 won't hurt styrene or ABS - but it will soften resin. Dot4 WILL kill plastics.
