Well I guess like the title says I was looking for a alternative model for the great eagles. They seem kinda 70's cartoonish to me and I usually frown on different companys models I was just curious what else was out there.

The Hobbit Great Eagles are actually really nice.

Hobbit eagles are great models. They are $50 for the pair but great plastics. I recommend magnatizing the wings for carrying purposes. I have 2 myself and was able to sit down and paint them up pretty well in a short amount of time. Most of it was waiting for washes to dry.

I used the IoB griffons and cut off the riders then greenstuffed over the gaps. They are griffon counts-as-eagles.

Thanks guys for the info. I really like the Hobbit ones that's a good call. I went to buy some of those and then I saw two of those griffones from the IOB for like 6 dollars and I couldn't argue with that.
