So she loves Wraith units and really wants to use mostly those kinds of units. She actually doesn't like the Iyanden colors but I'm thinking of having her use the supplement anyways.

For list building, I've been thinking 5-10 Wraithblades, 10-15 Wraithguards (not sure how many D-Scythes), 1-2 Wraithknights, Farseer, Spiritseer, Warp Spiders, Fire Prism, etc.

For 1500 and maybe 1850 pts, what would a mechanized Iyanden list look like and what would a non mechanized effective Iyanden list look like? Thanks for any help!

Ok sounds good, thanks! Would I add a Wave Serpent for each Wraithblade/Wraithguard squads? Also how many D-Scythe guard do you recommend? Right now she has two boxes of Wraithguard/blades, will buy two more boxes soon!

wraith blades are really not a very good choice, depends on how you want to run the list with the serpents, they are very good units but you might not have a lot of room.. Id run 1 squad of d-scythes 1 or 2 units of normal wraithguard, a knight or two, and maybe some guardians and weapons platforms.

mechanized would have probably 1 knight, and your squads of wraithguard in wave serpents and probably some fire prisms or just more serpents possibly with guardians or dire avengers in them.

Non mech would be a gak load of guardians on the ground surrounded by wraithlords, knights, and wraithguard, i dont have the iyanden book cause i run normal eldar, but im pretty sure wraithguard get battlefocus with a spirit seer. Anything to push across the table faster.

This is not an article I would promote using for new players trying to build a list. It basically tells the pros of each unit, with none of the cons. This is bad, and can give people the wrong idea.

I have just started building Iyanden (almost finished painting) and started with complete foot wraiths.

My list..

HQ 2 spiritseers, wraithstone, guardian helm 185
5 wraithguard 160
5 wraithguard 160
5 wraithblades 160
5 wraith D-scythes 210
wraithlord, brightlance, scatter 160
wraithlord, brightlance, scatter, glaive 165
wraithknight, suncannon, scatter 300

I then added rangers for objective holding. This made me drop 3 wraithguard (so a single unit of 7) and adding 8 rangers.

I plan to add a wave serpent for the D-scythes by dropping a wraithlord (leaves 15pts to add spear of teuthlas to a seer).

these are all 1500pts

This is simply not true. Plus it has a great wealth of information you cannot find anywhere else in an easy to read format. I learned invaluable lessons when I started from this site.

Um nope it states very simple advise that anyone with any tactical knowledge already knows, and doesnt state any of the weakness of any of the units, which is just flat out bad.

They make banshees out as a half decent unit that could be usable.
Theres your proof that the sight is bad.

If you have two units of Wraithguard, 2 Wraithlords, and a Knight, you can run the Ghost Warriors Dataslate. It gives them all Hatred (great for the Wraithblades) and Wraithborne wall, which gives all units behind the Wraiths a 4+ cover save. You can't take transports for them, but you can still run the D-scythes as a separate detachment. D-Scythes in a Serpent is just brutal.

then he would need 2 troops for his main detachment, which he would only have 1.
