Great actor.
Love the great escape and the Rockford files. I actually really enjoyed the Maverick film with him and pre-publicly insane Mel Gibson.
The Academy awards remembrance video keeps getting longer :(

Do yourself a favor and see if you can find DVD's of the old Maverick t.v. series at your local library. The episodes with Roger Moore as his British cousin helping him shake people down are great because you can tell they had a blast filming them.

Rockford Files as a kid and then again as reruns in high school. To me, he is synonymous with the 70s. He'll be missed.

Well this is a bummer. He was a cool guy and a good actor. I used to really dig watching Rockford Files reruns at my grandparent's place...
I'm gonna go get really depressed in the corner over here.

Loved him Maverick, and saw Murphy's Romance so many times as a kid (one of my mom's favorites) that I kinda wanted this guy as a step dad. He will definitely be missed.
