Well, definitely get yourself the Codex if you haven't already, and probably look at selling the Pod, as CSM can't use it unless your opponent were to agree to let you modify the rules.

Otherwise, you need to offer up some sort of vision for your army, are you only concerned with the strongest in game options? Do you have a theme? (Heavily mechanised, strong and immobile, fast and hard hitting etc) Is there a particular God or Legion you have a strong leaning towards?

The more info you can give, the better advice can be offered.

I like idea of Khorne armies. Get close and rip everything apart with your bare hands. I want to eat hive tyrant burgers

That may not be a good idea seeing as assaulting isn't the best idea right now. If you want to try it though I would suggest you use transports to get close and try and disembark so the transport blocks the enemy LOS as much as possible.

This is generally good advice, but if you wanted to try it, a Lord on a Juggernaut, accompanied by Spawn, Maulerfiends and anything hitty that can fit in a Land Raider would all be good choices (perhaps the Termies?) Your Raptors would then be a backfield disruption unit, using their speed or DS ability to attack/distract/tie up anything that posed you a problem or didn't want to deal with at that time.

Your collection is far from optimal for the list you want to run, and even an optimal version will struggle against some of the stronger lists, but you can probably build something you can have fun with and will win games at the casual level.

If you want to smash stuff in close combat, you need to get there. To get there you need speed. CSM can't use Drop Pods, and rely on Rhinos and Land Raiders.

Rhinos are cheap and have objective secured, but they are fragile and are not assault vehicles (so you can't assault the same turn you disembark). The Land Raider does not have objective secured, but it is an assault vehicle and it can handle a beating.

A lord on a Juggernaut or bike can be pretty good, so picking up a box of bikers might be a good idea. Spawn are also very good.

Raptors aren't bad either, if you give them melta guns you can deep strike them near enemy vehicles.

Are you looking for a pure CSM army or are you open to allies? Daemons have some units that compliment a fast combat-based CSM army well (flesh hounds in particular as you say you like Khorne)

I really want to just make a decent list using most of the units I already have. I dont want to go out and buy a whole new army ya'know?

Then I'm afraid your a little SOL. You've got the seeds of a decent list, but very little in the game, and certainly in the CSM book is good enough to operate in isolation. For instance, your Terminators are not a horrible unit, but can't fit in a Rhino, and won't perform well if minimum sized and footslogging, so really need a Land Raider to function well. While Walkers have got better in 7th, the Helbrute is still difficult to get excited about, especially if it is the DV one, as that suffers from being slow, short ranged and not sufficiently good at assault to be worth doing that instead of shooting.

I guess you could take

1 x Lord

1 x 6 Chosen plus Rhino (Lord goes here)

2 x 15 Marines
1 x 20 Cultists

1 x 5 Raptors

1 x Maulerfiend

With options to taste (maybe Marks on the Marines or something to pad points as needed) not sure what points value you're aiming for?

I'm afraid it very much looks like you've made a common mistake in buying what is well priced, and then trying to make it work, rather than starting with what works and buying that.

But don't despair, you've got more than enough to play a good variety of legal lists, and I'd suggest you do so, with no expectations of winning, for a few weeks, get a grip of what works, what doesn't, what you like and what you don't. If you're having a blast, great, but I suspect by that point you'll have a clear idea of what you want to drop, and what you want to add, and if you're in any doubt with some more specific decisions, then Dakka will be here to help!

The best thing to do right now would be finding some way to start doubling up on stuff. 5 terminators is interesting, 15 terminators is scary. 1 hellbrute is nothing, 3 hellbrutes and a warpsmith to get some fearless cultists is another.

Right now, with the exception of that you have a bunch of bolter dudes, your collection doesn't really have a theme, which will make it more difficult than usual to make a list out of.

keep in mind that csm struggle with anti-air so try to ally in your other armies that can handle air such as daemon soul grinders , cron scythes, imp vendettas. The sky fire on missiles are just too expensive and not good.

you wanna be that guy that takes 3 drakes? I think spawns are better than bikes. I regret having raptors and warp talons.
