I was thinking about running two units of 3 in larger games and 1 unit of 3 in 1750 point matches. Do I give them full command each and ensorcelled weps? Is the full command worth it??

I would go weapons and muso. I would save the points on the rest unless you need a standard for blood and glory or something. You already have enough high str. Attacks at this point that a champ isn't really needed unless you plan on playing some tricks with command models and challenging.

So you wouldn't do magic weps? I thought standard bearer would be good for combat rez? And the champions extra attack wouldn't hurt?

The champion hurts more than it helps in some situations. A puny little infantry champion can challenge and force your champion to kill the bejeezus out of the brave little infantry while doing nothing to the rest of the unit. You want all those attacks going into the unit.

Musician is practically mandatory, ensorcelled weapons is generally the way to go, and standards are optional. I like taking them because making absolutely sure I win combat against high CR blocks is nice, but winning by 5 or winning by 6 doesn't matter against Steadfast so it's not always actually impactful.

As a scrub WoC player still learning the ropes, I just have a question about the muso in the unit. Is it mainly due to the swift reforms?

Yes it is indeed (you shouldn't need the +1 to rally or the tie-breaker)

Definitly do the Ensorcelled Weapons. Lances are bunk on Warriors of Chaos because the conditional +2 strength only applies to the first round when you charge, while having +1 str and magical attacks all the time is superior(you will rarely break the enemy in 1 round of combat)

The Standard Bearer isn't there for the Combat rez, he's there so you can take a magic banner. The +1 combat rez is insignificant compared to the damage the unit is going to cause normally.

The musician is there for the swift reform, incredibly useful. Also good in the event of a tie, you don't want your opponent winning by 1 just because you skimped a little on points.

Sorry, I forgot ensorcelled weapons. They are indeed money against most opponents. This big exception being those pesky Elves with the Banner of the World Dragon.

Depending on the rest of your list, the standard bearer can be good for getting your armies breaking point up in the 'Blood and Glory' scenario.

It's also a good place to spend a few remaining points on the gleaming pennant to reroll that game-changing failed frenzy test as they're going to be far away from the BSB quite often
