Ok so, my knowledge is limited on some of the legions, I was wondering if there is a clear match between each of the loyalist / chaos legions...

This was primarily born out of reading the info on Alpha legion and wondering if there was a loyalist espionage chapter... some legions seem to have clear parallels and others not so much.

Nope. A few have direct matches, but not all.

You'll find the legions far more interesting if you don't consider any of them having "matched sets", even those that seem obvious, and instead judge them on all of their characteristics and dimensions independently, not just the ones that parallel another legion.

Thanks for the replies, your arguements make sense.

Mostly find it interesting that there is no espionage/ psychwarfare loyalist legion and that both that might have been like that went chaos.

While not the Alpha Legion or Night Lords, the Raven Guard’s specialty is guerrilla warfare. Probably as sneaky as you are going to get on the loyal side.

that makes sense, I was waffling on the Raven Guard or maybe Dark Angels with their ability to find individual people scattered across the galaxy in worlds with millions if not billions of people

thanks
