Considering that Zombicide is up to Season 3, yep, it's useful. I think with Season 3, we'll have over 350 Zombicide zombies to paint? And you can use this set for your other zombies, of course.
* Great for tabletop. Haven't tried it with display-level or heroic figures yet.
* Zombie shader is best shader. It's a grey-brown wash and versatile for more than just zombies.
* Paint colors are opaque. No eyeball undercoats or multiple layers of red or yellow!
* Colors blend just fine on the wet palette. I use their Inks to thin the paints.
If you have toxic zombies and berserker zombies, pick up the Quickshade Ink green and red, available in the Quickshade Ink set. The set also has blue and purple for shading green and red, as well as their Soft, Strong, and Dark Tone inks.
I like to use the Army Painter color primers over a black primer for zenithal priming, followed by pre-ink with one of their inks, then glazing and stuff.
Here's a tabletop

Also, January 2015 will have their Survivor paints to round out the set.
