I'd rather see more drop pods as the list lacks a long range punch to knock out heavier targets. You only have one dedicated melta squad and no long ranged support.

Sicarius allows a tac squad to infiltrate and the terminators can deep strike. Sicarius is in a drop pod, so that's 3 units in my opponent's deployment zone.

Which is fine from a tactical standpoint up until you have your melta squad exposed, then wiped. Your next best anti-armor is thunderhammers and plasma. Against AV 13 or higher or with mobility, they could be a severe challenge for the list to contend with.

What do you suggest?

I would run a second melta squad. You can produce up to 4 melta threats that way and require 6 unit kills to get rid of all of it.

trade a tac squad and rhino to switch the other 3 rhinos to razorbacks with guns? anybody else think that might add a nice punch? Dunno what you'd do with the leftover 75 or so points tho.

My local meta has very few if any flyers.

Transport capacity is too small.

You could split the tactical Marines up. Spread melta to each squad if you go razorback.

The list simply lacks flexibility. It's mechanized and can put units behind the enemy line. But anti armor is a concern.

I still haven't decided on which Chapter Tactics I want. Salamanders also interest me.

According to the 5th edition codex, 2nd Company doesn't deploy with Terminator armor (only Veteran company does that). Hence my question. Was it retconned in the 6th edition codex? I don't have it so I can't look.

All Space Marine Armies can use Terminators in the 6th ed. codex. They could in 5th too, that was purely a fluff thing.

Oh, sorry. I had gotten the interpretation that this was a fluffy army based on Ultramarines 2nd Company.

Did not realize it was an Ultramarines army feat. Cato Sicarius.

I still haven't decided on which Chapter Tactics I want. Salamanders also interest me.

You can't use Cato if you don't use Ultramarines Chapter Tactics.
And if you were using Salamanders Chapter Tactics, the thread title would be hilariously misguiding

I know, I would use Vulkan. Also, I posted a different army list for Salamanders.

I can't say exactly what you need but maybe drop a squad so you can add another heavy support or maybe a fast attack. It just looks to easy to pop open a few rhinos and take away all your mobility.
Imagine how you would fight against your list.

I'm not a huge fan of teleporting in TH/SS termies (or slogging them or w/e). They take hate, but are tarpit so easily (and enough shooting will still kill one or two, which is a huge decrease in effectiveness).

Unless I can get them in a box, I prefer to leave them be.
