Historical books seem to be the in thing for black library at the moment. The Horus Heresy being the obvious example, but there are also others such as the recent Abaddon book and Ahrirhim novel. I still remember reading about the Age of Apostasy in the really old sisters of battle codex. I think it would be a good story to show Goge Vandires ascent to power and descent into madness, the founding of the Sisters of Battle, Sebastian Thors rise as a saint and the Custodians bringing the sisters to meet the Emperor (cool in of itself).

I say yes, they probably will some day.

I suspect that, once the Horus Heresy is over, we'll get The Scourging first.

Then, maybe some of that other stuff.

But yes, I'd bet it is coming!

Oh yeah I forgot they also did that Solar Macharius trilogy. Another old story from the old guard codex they adapted.

I did like that about the second edition codexes. They tended to have those really big sweeping stories.

The Apostasy is a civil war...
Maybe the current route of GW is focused on campaigns with two forces who are known enemies. ( Orks vs SW. CSM vs DA. ) and BL is supposed to support them.
This will bind a lot of ressources.

I'd hope we get something different, like the Apostasy. But I know it involves Sisters ( a part of the background without strong backup at GW ) and other Imperials.
The majority of groups involved there has no favor, no one to push them IMO.

So was the Horus Heresy, yet that hasn't stopped anyone from writing about it.
