Hell yeah! I love lots of different bands, but Avenged Sevenfold is definitely one of my favorites.

I like them, but they are kind of hit or miss for me.

Just going off their new album Hail to the King and Shepherd of Fire are just amazing songs and I want to make sweet steamy bum coitus to those pieces of music.

This Means War or War or whatever its called makes my ears bleed. The Riffs are awesome don't get me wrong , but the lyrics to that song..... Blech.

Yeah i like avenged sevenfold, they kick ass!

Shadows sometimes has trouble finding the balanced between yelling and singing. On songs like "Crimson Day" "So far Away" he really showcases his vocal ability, but on "This Means War" he's just screaming. As a guitarist myself, I can say the technical ability of Synester Gates is rivaled by very few.

I'm sad that neither band came to my area on their most recent tours. I REALLY wanted to see a show on the Hail to the King tour, and Dream Theater's self titled album is awesome.

I used to be. Now I've been listening to nothing but 80's music. Just so much better. No matter what kind it is.

Recent stuff no. The lead singer's voice just grates on me now

It's not so much that he's just screaming, it's that it's

Typically I loathe songs repeat the same lyrics over and over instead of a chorus. Just because I like the band doesn't give them a by from it.

I like them I guess, they do do some nice songs (afterlife being a fav of mine) but I much prefer slipknot, sorry :/

The problem I have with Avenged Sevenfold is that I hear them, and I'm all like, "okay, this could be pretty badass," then the singer starts up, and he makes the guy from Blink 182 sound tough by comparison.

Lol, you pretty much sum up why I dislike them... Then again, I'm more of a fan of "better" metal (better being subjective of course) Most of the bands that I do like, have a singer that doesn't sound like he/she belongs in a boy band for half the song... I also have more of an affinity for the growly stuff, like Soul Fly, Sepultura, Pantera, etc. About as "high pitch" as I really enjoy is probably someone like Dimmu Borgir,or Mastodon (because while it has the higher pitch, I dunno... it doesn't sound like an angsty teen, IMO)

Call me a hipster, but I prefer the first two albums. I do like nightmare, but mostly because it has Mike portnoy in it and I'm a massive dream theater fan.
