Hi guys so wife got me a game on sale wow never though about it before but here it is. So doesanyone on here play the game? If so can you help out some I was wondering if healers are needed and or hunters? Also if I pick hunter and the bad guys how soon can I get a turtle pet?

I need to go to work every day.

Played for a long time as a couple different classes.

1 - Healers are always needed, tanks and healers make the group finding instant. Priests, Paladins, Druids, Shaman, they all make great healers.

2 - Hunters are meh for me, was never really impressed. But they can control a fight pretty well with the varied array of different ranged attacks. Not sure about the turtle pet location/level requirement.

I haven't played a hunter since 09 but when I was playing one I was able to get a turtle pet as soon as I found a turtle... you just have to be able to tame it... actually that was back in 09... don't know how it might have changed now.

Healers are wicked fun to have with you but I've never actually played one myself.

Ask Melissia, she's our local WoW expert here!

Seriously, though, those are a lot of questions you might be better off asking at the Blizz forums as there are a lot more people playing the game nowadays

...and really, The Horde are the "bad guys"? What?

This, mainly.

I'd advice for going Paladin - it's a tad boring to play (hit buttons, kill stuff), but you get several play styles with it.

Healers are always sought after, but require a little more focus than many of the pure dps classes, not always the best choice for a beginner, but folks have to start somewhere, and some of the best started that way and stuck all the way through.

Hunters get tame pet at lvl 10, in fact you can't do a lot with your starting pet till level 10, as it's control bar doesn't appear until then so it just reacts to anything hitting you, or if you shoot something.

Once you get to lvl 10, you can attempt to tame any beasts, but beasts will strike you while you are doing it, so they generally have to be either lower level or within a couple of your current. Lowest lvl turtles if I recall correctly Horde side are in the Forsaken areas.

In fact, you can't even tame beasts of a level higher than yourself.

Death Knights are a lot of fun to play. Unfortunately you can't play them from the start.

Yes, you can.

The need to have a level 55 first has been removed like, one expansion ago.

Oh, well, scissor me timbers. Bit silly to start put at level 55, though.

Psh. Hunters are inferior, but Deathknights are ezmode.

*ques flashback sound and screen distortion* Back in vanilla, wearing plate meant something. It was cute watching any class but mages try to kill me, "Oh what's that Rogue? You're going to stunlock me? That's cute, I'll let you have your 100 damage crits for a while before I erase your sorry ass." Paladins>all

God dammit, now I want to play.
