So I am goign to in the enar future play a game against my friend's Crimson Fists (Rynn's World anyone??)

Well anyway the point is most liekly going to be either 750 or 1500 on each side.

As I am very new to 40k and my friend has played for around 15 years I am curious to see what you Ork's whos been a warboss for a long time would choose against this army?
He has ALOT of infantry practically no vehicles at all except for a dedicated transport which is Rhino I think....as far as I know no tanks from his side.

Thanks in advance

He'll probably use Pedro Kantor, A Tac Squad or 2, Maybe Scouts, Probably Sternguard, and Maybe a Tank. He will rip straight through your infantry so I'd recommend Lootas or artillery to hit key targets.

burnas in trucks can be a pain for space marines ... that many flamers will put wounds on meq easily, i'm not sure if they kept the ap3 melee wargear for burnas with the new codex (if they still do it makes them even better)

Honestly, try to mount as much stuff up as you can with trucks / battle wagons / nob bikers, make sure to mix in power klaws, and tie up as many units in cc as possible.

The Burna has AP5 but I can't seem to find that special rule you are reffering to......I am goign to compile a list there and put it up since it'll msot likely only be 750p

Burna is ap 5 when used as a flamer, But ap 3 when used in CC.

Burnaz are probably the last thing you want. They aren't that awesome and pretty expensive for what they do.

If you want something that's great at shooting marines, there are a couple of options:

1) Tankbustaz. The new stars of our codex, are all equipped with rokkits, which will make short work of power armor and rhinos. When you both stack up on armies, they will keep doing a good job for you, as they are one of the better ways to handle land raiders and dreadnoughts. Also hitting Pedro Kantor in the face with a rokkit makes him implode.
Fluff bonus: Some pieces of fluff say that tank bustaz tunneled into the Crimson Fist's citadel and blew up their reactor, turning the entire complex into a mushroom cloud.
2) Flash gits. Flash gits are great shots which will kill MEQ in droves. Considering that crimson fist players tend to focus on Stern Guard, a shooty unit to counter them might be very helpful.
3) Mek gunz. Mek gunz cost little points and kannons, kustom mega-kannons and smashas can help you take care of all kinds of marine toys. Biggest downside is the huge amount of money they cost, you should look to build some yourself or turn to third party companies.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Lobbas are pretty good for the price.

Just get a squad of 5, and unload on any squad! It will work wonders

This. Also, what I did was I bought a bag of 6 Civil War cannons on Amazon, and slapped some plasticard blast shields onto them with Orkish designs to make my Lobbas, and only cost me 8 bucks for the cannons, and 2 bucks for the For Sale signs to make the shields. They can double as Kannons just by lowering the barrel down to distinguish which are lobbin, and which are kannon'in.

Ask yourself this question, "do you want to win, or just have fun?"

If you want to have fun, take anything from the book and just have a good time. If you want to win the 2 builds that are emerging as very powerful are the greentide formation from the Waaagh Ghazghull supplement, and running a large unit of warbikes with Zhadsnark (from forgeworld, last page: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/d/Dred_Mob.pdf )

I thank you all for the interesting feedback.
I got the list form my friend so I was thinkgin to post it here to get even some more deep feedback on how to tackle it?

I am not exactly playign to powergame but I haven't played a game on my own of 40k
This friends in aprticular has the tendency to counter in a way that for exampel if i would have allot of meganobx he would when he knows this take alot of gravguns.....which melts the nobz.

WHat i first and foremost woud liek to do is to have fun foc and learn the rules, but playing against someone who is playing only to win and finds a way to counter all builds. I would rather think before i act and actually try to have a fair chance of winning. Even though i feel i am not that familiar with the rules at all, I feel that reading the rulebook page by page doesn't help much, I would rather use the book as we go and then learn the rules as I play.

i know the very basics of fighitng but not how all the phases work and so on.
