Here is a project I got to do recently. This is an ordo Xenos inquisitor along with his retinue. The idea for the greyscale and green color scheme was my client's, and I really think it works nicely on these sculpts.

So that you all know, the inquisitor is a conversion using a few non-GW parts and some dark eldar bits. The other mini you might not recognize is a Necromunda Spyrer Hunter (Malchadon).

the green works realy well on them, perhaaps a scenic base would create a darker pose for the model.

Thanks.

I did go with some very simple basing here (it is a simple cornmeal and gravel mix). Bases aren't usually something I love to spend time on, so I often go with something simple that doesn't detract.

You can decide for yourselves if I went too simple, of course.

I have been thinking about doing something like this.. I may just have to give it a try.. Probably on some malifaux or what not

Malifaux minis seem like they would work well in greyscale. Many of them seem like they're inspired by old horror and western movies and things like Sweeney Todd (where greyscale and red would be appropriate).

You did an excellent job on the monochrome style. The green is a great addition and doesn't detract much of the attention. It reminds me a bit of Sin City as well.

Sin City was definitely a reference. The main references my client sent me were some Sin City inspired minis painted by Rhonda Bender.
