Okay, real talk, sorry if this is a dumb thread, but is he ever worth it any more? Under any circumstances?
55 just seems so steep for a move and fire heavy bolter that REPLACES your sgt :(
Like shoot man, I could get an extra armored sentinel for less than that.

No use at all.

Im not one to dismiss units but like, wow. I have never seen such an expensive unit with such little use or benefit.

Sad, I converted a Harker that looks like the heavy from TF2 like, a week before the astra militarum codex came out

I was a little taken aback when I read the new dex, I was like, no, there's no way a model could be THIS bad, I have to be missing something

I got a Scottish harker with a WW1 style mini gun. Now he just has a really big bolt gun....

haaah ^^ good one

maybe my harker should just get put on a 40mm base and be a two wound one man heavy weapon team

I would like to, but he looks so cool in photos leading his men like that!

I now simply call him Sgt Haggis if his name is ever important.

I have used him in the old codex with a second Heavy Bolter and 3 Sniper Rifles with positive effects. I think his problem is to make the best use of his Relentless he has to screw the other heavy weapon or you can just sit still and waist his relentless.

If he gave his Squad Relentless then he might be worth it every time. Our group has talked about him giving the Squad Relentless as a House Rule.

Agree 100% if he made the squad relentless you would see him in IG lists all the time.

As he is, complete and total waste of points.

Doesn't relentless go to the squad since he's got it?

Only the Models with the Relentless Rule can use the special rule.

This change made me sad. I used to use Harker all the time in 6e :(

Sgt Harker is bad and GW should feel bad. I could almost reason getting rid of Marbo, but demoting harker like that made no sense. Part of me would like to see them FAQ him to something useful. Hell if he gave the squad infiltrate it would make sense and be worth it....almost

I use to like running him in a squad with three sniper rifles and a heavy bolter, with the forward sentries. Yes, it was an expensive squad, but, he did give a fair amount of benefits, mainly, infiltrate.

But now, not worth it. He lost the infiltrate, stealth, move through cover (that he bestowed upon his squad) and his feel no pain. And he still cost the same.

Just not worth it now. Guess the boys at GW don't like a human doing the one up on their poster boys (ultra marines)
