Has it changed from last edition? I always used to try to run the maximum amount of 'wolf' possible in one unit with my space wolves. My usually HQ was a wolf lord on a thunder wolf with mark of the wulfen with two fenrision wolf pets saga of the wolf accompanied by wolf guard.
It looks like I may now be able to stretch it to
Wolf lord mounted on thunder wolf with mark of the wulfen holding the fangsword of the death wolf with a wulfen stone (saga of the wolf) accompanied by thunderwolf cavalry with wolf claws, or is it better to swap out the thunder wolves for putting him in a storm wolf accompanied by wolf guard?
This is pretty much the only thing I care about in the new edition. Can someone help me figure out how to maximize my wolfyness?

Seems like the same # of wolf references either way - but stuck with the thunderwolf cav because you have the added bonus of actually being on a wolf for that extra visual punch.

Actually no more Mark of the Wulfen and it appears by the rules its either the sword or the stone, not both.
You could always give him a pair of Wolf Claws and a pair of Fenriseian Wolves if you need to say Wolf a few more times.

GW's naming criteria is what's getting long in the fang. They did remove things like mark of the wulfen, wolf tooth necklace and wolf tail talisman. They added murder mcmurderson the murdery from planet murdercide to make up for it though.

Yes, the storm wolf.
But the problem is he can't be a Wolf lord of the wolf on a wolf with the Fangsword of the wolf and a wolf stone accompanied by wolves with a unit of wolf guard with wolf claws flying in a stormwolf.
He can't be on a wolf. So is it better to be on a wolf or in one? I'm saying on a wolf.
(And for you haters-this wouldn't be as funny if it wasn't a completely codex legal unit. Also, you can absolutely hVe the sword and the stone, the stone isn't a weapon so it doesn't take up hands. You can just only have 1 relic of each kind per army, I'm pretty sure one dude can have multiple relics if they don't take too many hands to use. We've actually lost some wolfs with the wolf tail talismans and wolf tooth necklace. We always had wolf claws so that's not changed. We still have sage of the wolfkin but you have to roll for it. We gained the Fangsword of the Ice Wolf and The Wulfen Stone.
Though you can now take a detachment that has Cunning of the Wolf.

So I guess that means we are equal on the wolf now as we were before... but now one of the wolfs is dependent on rolling a particular warlord trait.
Although overall, even if you can't fit as much wolf in to a single unit, it feels like there's more wolf on a whole.
