First off you Warboss can only take 1 Gift, so Cap and Bike are not legal.

Having the Mega Kannon and Traktor Kannon in the same unit is a bad move, as they must fire at the same target. You have an empty Heavy slot, so split them up.

Thanks, I forgot about the gifts. I intended to split the units, I just messed up the OP. Fixing it now. Any other comments?

I reckon you want to ditch the 3 Mega Kannons for either 5 Lobbas or regular Kannons. Lobbas are nuts but kannons are pretty good too. The extra 2 guns outweighs the Mega-Kannons boosted stats in my opinion.

Also perhaps try and get a painboy in each boyz mob. FNP on huge mobs makes them much tougher.

I like the MANZ Missiles but somthine I have had success (in only 3 games with new codex so far) is MANZ, Mega armour warboss with Lucky Stikk and Grotsnik in a Battlewagon. FNP, Mega Armour with rerolls and Rampage provided by the good Dok is so tough. Everyone has Power klaws so they wreck whatever they touch. I also give a couple of Nobz kombi-skorchas. Problem i see with your list is that 1 Battlewagon will stick out like a sore thumb. I tend to run 3 so that offers some survivability.

I get why people like Warbikers in the new book, cheaper and all that, but i just can't keep them alive. A Biker Boss can hide but 15 bikes can't. Maybe i am just useless but I would prefer outflanking koptas/buggies.

Actually, you can have more than one Gift on characters; you just can't take any single gift twice. i.e. you can have Da' Thinkin' cap and the Blitzbike; you can't have a Warboss with a blitzbike and a Big Mek with a blitzbike. Get it?

Only one of each of the following may be taken per army.
A model can take one of the following:

a model can take one of the following means you only get one.

now the relics in the ghaz supplement have different wording and I believe that limit isn't there at all, but for codex orks it is most definitely one of each per army, and one per character.

to the op

You have posted a few other lists and of the two others I have noticed I think this one is the most competitive. I do agree that painboyz make mobs of 30 boys better, but they also make warbikers better and short of dropping some of the stuff you have there is really no way to pick up a painboy or 3. The only real suggestion I have is switching the KMK and traktors around so you have 3 traktor kannons and 2 KMK. I reccomend this because your list lacks anti air, other than the traktors and lootas. Traktors also work against skimmers, any winged MC in any flight mode, so they are useful against almost every army.

Lobbas are good, but with so many boys, bikes, and Manz missiles, you will be krumping infantry in no time so you want the stuff to open up transports and hurt vehicles. KMK and traktors are going to do that for you.

I think splitting one of the 30 man squads to two 12 in trukks could be useful for you. Helps protect the Manz and the bikes. Not to mention it gives you more to hit with at once.

Is three 30 man mobs better than the green horde formation?

OP mentioned not wanting to use formations.

I think this list looks great. It's very balanced.

As good as lobbas are, unless you really needed to spend the points elsewhere, I would stick with the KMKs... AP2 blasts are too good to pass up.

If you do decide to drop a footslogger unit to get some trukk boys, I'd spend the points to give them heavy armour - it's really a lifesaver on those small units of boys, especially when their trukk inevitably explodes.

I did. I'm curious what your reason is though for not going with the green tide formation. Is it points cost and not counting as objective secured?

I don't want to buy the Ghaz supplement. Simple as that.

*edit- The lack of objective secured also bothers me.

very good list. very balanced. I am not personally a fan of bikers, but I understand why you want to take them and think they work well in this list. They will provide some relief for the MANz missiles. those three give some releiefe for the boyz to truck it across the board.

I disagree with the lobbas and kannon comments. The KMK are needed here for a bigger punch rather then mass shots from kannons and lobbas.

good luck.

You're talking about the blitzbike and kap right? A Warboss can have a normal bike and kap

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).

Yes, Blitzbike and Kap is what I meant, shouldn't have gone for shorthand

What's to stop your opponent from just killing the MANZ and kiting your stuff? Then you have a bike unit, and enough stuff in the game can hurt that badly.

Well, having over 100 models worth of stuff helps.

In my experience 100 ork models isn't saying a lot. They can still be blown away

QFT. Quite easily as well I'm afraid. I love orks but that's the truth of it
