Not seen anyone post this. Does any one else play?

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

Looks nice. I was thinking about picking up BA, this might make it a step more likely.

I want to start but haven't found people to play with. It would help if the starter sets were geman vs soviet instead of US as no one I know wants to start US.

Just update your OP to include more info than just a link and all is good in the hood.

D-Day Firefight has everything you need to get started in Bolt Action:
Bolt Action mini-rulebook
1 modular plastic ruined farmhouse
10 plastic multi-pose 28mm German infantry
1 plastic 1:56 scale Sd.Kfz 251/1C Hanomag half-track
20 plastic multi-pose 28mm US Army troops
Scenario booklet
Quick reference sheet
60 Pin Markers
2 Rulers
8 order dice, two sets of 4 in two different colours
10 six sided dice

I'm quite tempted by the mini-rulebook. I've got the hardback but I'd rather keep it good (cos it's signed by Rick P and John S). I'm sure I could do something with the 30 troops and Hanomag too

The UK RRP is £70, which is pretty good value for the contents. Have too many other projects on the go to consider this but am tempted...

I'd love the mini rulebook, but I struggle to get behind the actual infantry figures when you can get higher quality WW2 infantry models cheaper elsewhere.

I did try. But my PC decided it would be possessed by Loki, and several bizzare instances occured. I gave up, went to bed, and was going to try again in morning. But you beat me to it .

I've always wanted to get into this game, and bought the core rule book not long ago (which has some pretty tight, easy enough mechanics) but the miniatures are so squashed and gross

Yeah, that's really put me off too. If I started Bolt Action (if I can find people to play with!) then I'd definitely use either Perry models to make an Afrikakorps.

Or go Wargames Factory and do a late war German or Soviet army...

And probably just use the BA vehicles.

If you don't mind going slightly smaller scale, you can use 1/72 scale models as well, there's a lot of choices for WW2 models.

Very smart. They'll look good.
Sometimes I'll look the other way if the figures are a bit wonky, but I think when it comes to historical you shouldn't do that sort of almost cartoonish, massive heads, no necks, disproportionate squashed bodies...it just doesn't sit well with the narrative of the game.
I planned originally on playing smaller point skirmishes with 1.35 Tamiya and dragon kits but man! Looked great but It just got well out of hand very quickly, and scale wise the table would have to be massive. I don't know what I was thinking to be honest
