So one quick question, I haven't played with my DE in a long time, I used to run the classic Huskblade/Soultrap Archon and in those days a model suffered Instant Death at an unsaved wound, nothing else required.
Now I've just looked at the FAQ and it states that it has the Instant Death special rule, does this mean the Huskblade will require a Ld test in order to instakill something? It's a little nerfed if so, I suppose I'll need to wait until the update for more options on my beloved Archon!

You're mixing up the Instant Death rule with the Force rule. The Instant Death rule doesn't require any activation, it just inflicts Instant Death if you cause an unsaved wound.
Force is now a Blessing you get automatically if you have a weapon with the rule that you can choose to cast during the psychic phase to give your weapon "Instant Death".
