With my growing imperial guard army, my tanks still sit primed...i would like some sort of camo scheme but i don't see an easy soloution to doing it nicely without an airbrush. Otherwise my infantry are red/black but i'm not sure how i could translate that to the vehicles....any ideas?

Well, there's a slight risk of gluing something together with it. Only slight, mind.

Some camo schemes:
http://camopedia.org/index.php?title=Main_Page#Camouflage_on_military_vehicles
You don't have to paint Tanks in camo schemes.
But if you do, why are the troops Red & Black and is there something else to make those Red & Black clad Guardsmen blend in ?
Maybe you need a third color to make the scheme work.
A pic of the painted minis is better than a 1000 words ...+1

Silly putty!
Easiest camo for a tank. I did one a while back in red and black as a test piece. I really loved the way it turned out but went a completely different direction in the end so I stripped it. The way I did it (not necessarily the best way, just the way I did it).
1. Paint entire tank red with giant brush.
2. Seal with matte sealant
3. Roll silly putty into thinner, lumpy sausages
4. Place sausages onto tank in a tiger stripe pattern. Some will branch off others, merge, end sooner etc. Try to keep it from being too even and symmetrical.
5. Gently smoosh the putty a bit towards the hull, this prevents the stripes from being so uniform in width (that's why I used lumpy sausages)
6. Gently spray a coat of flat black spray paint.
7. BEFORE the black dries, remove the putty without touching the wet paint.
8. Go back and do all your metals, tracks, highlighting etc.
Looks complicated on paper but it's crazy easy and looked great.

It works quite well, at least with BattleTech miniatures such as the SGT-8R Sagittaire.
More examples can be seen at the CamoSpec pages for the 1st Robinson Rangers, 2nd Robinson Rangers and 3rd Robinson Rangers.

Hmmmm i guess your right
I guess the easiest way is to do the silly puddy route and use a spray paint on a red base. you could also use a red colored spray paint from like tamyia but that requires a bit of color matching to your previous works.

If you can get your hands on a red spray that is about what you want, that will make life a lot easier. Just use blutack (that poster putty stuff, I can't remember what it's called in the US) to mark out the camo. Painting tanks with a spray is soooo much faster and will come out a lot smoother than you will ever achieve with a brush. I painted a few tanks with brushes and it actually takes quite a while to lay down a smooth solid coat. I actually wouldn't worry about trying to match the red of the tanks to the red of the infantry. I'd say there's more chance that there's a slight difference in tone than there is that the person who paints the tanks bothers matching the infantry clothes exactly.
