Hey mates, with the new Grey Knight book leaked onto the internet, I quickly made up a list that I feel can be pretty competitive and decided to keep it simple as there are still a few unknowns to this book, but enough to get a picture of a list that I feel can be pretty competitive in the long haul, using the Nemesis Strike Force Detachment for Rites of Teleportation and Brotherhood Commander benefits. Anyways, tell me what you guys think:

* Draigo

*Librarian:
-w/Lvl. 3, Psycannon, Warding Staff,

* (10x) Terminators: (w/Draigo)
-w/Justicar w/Halberd, Psycannon, 2x Daemon Hammer, SB, 2x Psycannon, Halberd, 5x Halberd, SB

* (10x) Terminators: (w/Librarian)
-w/Justicar w/Halberd, Psycannon, 2x Daemon Hammer, SB, 2x Psycannon, Halberd, 5x Halberd, SB

* (10x) Interceptors:
-w/Justicar w/Daemon Hammer, SB, Teleport Homer, 2x Incinerators, 7x NFS, SB

* Dreadknight:
-w/Personal Teleporter, Greatsword, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon

* Dreadknight:
-w/Personal Teleporter, Greatsword, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon

Total: 1997 points

Quick but effective, definitely will allow me to save money in the long run and the list is very simple to collect. Note this is just a test run list from what I can base off the new book, as although I like being able to field a small list like this, I am tempted to run a PA heavy GK list, despite the fact that Strike Squads aren't exactly a strong option anymore for troops. That being said, is the Rhino rush list still viable or is that list dead?

Not sure if you need Draigo.
I'd opt foranother unit of Interceptors.
The option for an alpha strike in the first turn by shunting the NDK's and the Interceptors is too tempting.

Strike squads are meh and adding a NDK would violate the new FOC for GK's (only 2 HS slots available).

He's paying the new GK Detatchment, max of 2 HS choices, so no third NDK.

This list is rather frightening to a number of builds I run, but I think that its rather low unit and model count makes it suceptible to concentrated fire. The small number of units and the relative slowness once they are out of Shunts and Deep Strikes will make objective missions a little trickier as well. As will the lack of objective secured.

This list is going to need to play for the turn 2 assault of anything mobile and scoring, then grins its way through the rest of the army as it plays for the knock out.

Is it compulsory to use the codex specific FOC or can you use the rulebook one?

Unknown for sure, but in the previous books with alternate FOCs they were not mandatory to my knowledge.

However, as the OP has said that is the FOC they are going with, and there are definite advantages to said FOC (like turn 1 Deep Striking followed by shooting and running) we'll have to assume that is a core part of the plan and go with that in mind when making adjustments.

You want an aegis + coms relay if you intend to deep strike first turn with the new FOC, since you still have to roll to see if they turn up turn 1 don't you?

Yeah, a reroll on reserves would be huge in an army that likely starts off the table and has no guarantee of any unit showing up in any given turn.

I'm afraid the librarian can't take a psycannon, they do get access to a combi-melta though which could be pretty handy.

I think the OP may have confused Special Weapon/Special Terminator Weapon with Special Issue Items and Ranged Weapons.

Hey mates, after going back and taking a look, I made some changes to this list and after some modifiers, here is my 2nd attempt at a 2000 point list so tell me what you guys think of this particular version.

* Librarian:
w/Lvl. 3, Warding Staff

* (10x) Terminators: (w/Librarian)
-w/Justicar w/Halberd, Psycannon, 2x Daemon Hammer, SB, 2x Psycannon, Halberd, 5x Halberd, SB

* (7x) Purifiers:
-w/2x Incinerators, 5x NFS, SB

* (7x) Purifiers:
-w/2x Incinerators, 5x NFS, SB

* (10x) Interceptors:
-w/Justicar w/Daemon Hammer, SB, Teleport Homer, 2x Incinerators, 7x NFS, SB

* (10x) Interceptors:
-w/Justicar w/Daemon Hammer, SB, Teleport Homer, 2x Incinerators, 7x NFS, SB

* Dreadknight:
-w/Personal Teleporter, Greatsword, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon

* Dreadknight:
-w/Personal Teleporter, Greatsword, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon

Total: 1996 points

Pretty simple really, dropped a Terminator Squad and Draigo and with the points, got myself another Interceptor Squad, along with 2x Purifier Squads, who will be Deep Striking in to add some fire support. This option gives me more bodies, however I am still debating on what I really want to do with my GK's, as I have heard that some people are going to be utilizing the Rhino Rush List with Purifiers/Strike Squads. Is that list even effective anymore?
