So, what do people think of the difference between the old Arkhan-on-chariot model, and the new one on his cyber-horse?

I really like the new Arkhan, they improved the miniature massively. I think a chariot would have been cooler than the horsething he rides now, but I already have a nice paint scheme in mind for it.

He doesn't ride it.

The monster doesn't have any stats. It's incorporated into Arkhan's.

The three main mortarchs, on the steeds, have a minimum of 8 wounds. Neferata has 8, Arkhan 9, and Mannfred has 10.

While I see what you're getting at, that ruleswise he's one big model, the miniture flippin' rides it, and that's what was being discussed.

I'd have liked the Arkhan on a chariot and to be called Nagash.

Seriously, what are people's thoughts on perhaps proxying Nagash using the Arkhan model? Stat adjustments? Not doable at all? How about using the Mortarch statline but with Nagash's spells and magic with a points increase? Still ridiculously overpowered?

Homebrew Chaos: The Black Suns; A Medrengard Militia (think Iron Warriors-centric Blood Pact/Sons of Sek)

Does anyone actually have the Nagash miniature?

Yup, I picked mine up yesterday and started building.

There is a lot of reinforcement on the basic attach points for the spirits and they all essentially 'lock' together on the base.

I think I would want to play it out, and see how it goes.

I still think they are going to have to introduce other awesome Heroes and Lords to deal with these guys. Can you imagine Nagash with all 3 Mortarchs in one force? I mean, yes, they are expensive, but OP? Undeniably. So, I'm hoping to see what they come out with to counter these threats. I could imagine a sort of "Ghazgull's War Council" type thing, where many heroes team up to counter this threat.

That's really good. What do you want to bet that GW comes out with a Carrier case designed to fit these models? Transport is going to be an issue, in my mind.

I watched the video on how to build it GW put out, it was actually pretty helpful, as it shows you what sub-assemblies it can be broken into and that the two lots of spirits behind Nagash can be altered ever so slightly to increase their stability immensley, I've just started to undercoat mine, but I'm out of liquid GS so I can't do one of the sub-assemblies yet :(
