I've been working on this Daemon list off and on for a while. It's pretty straightforward: As many big scary daemons as possible.

The Nurgle DPs are an obvious choice: Jink + Shrouded for 2+ cover save while gliding toward CC. All have greater rewards for Baleswords in case my opponent's list is also MC heavy. One has exalted rewards for the Grim, for use on the CSM DP.

Bloodthirster is just another big scary flying daemon. Doesn't have shrouded, so gets 2x Greater Rewards in the hopes I'll roll some 1-3 results for survivability.

CSM Daemon Prince is probably the only thing everyone else doesn't run in this kind of list -- the hope is I can get him into CC on T2 and activate the Key. Obviously he'll be smack in the center of the table if possible, which should seriously disrupt enemy movement. After the key is unlocked, I could have him swoop to any part of the board to slow enemy movement. Axe of Blind Fury means there's a possibility of 13 attacks on the charge (10 average) and all at S9. He's my answer for Land Raiders and the like.

Nurglings - Obvious choice: Lots of attacks which will prohibit tar-pitting of the workhorses. If the enemy list has tar pit units, at least half of the units will DS so they can be in position on time. Good synergy here as well because weapons that can double them out will probably be directed at the big scary T6 stuff.

GUO - DS's and will always at least have the Primaris AP3 Template. Truly an afterthought of the list, but useful all the same.

I'd like any input on how to make it better - I'd also like input on what is likely to beat it. I've been trying to think of a list that would definitely beat this one down, and I can't bring any to mind -- Advice as to what list might cause this one problems would be a good place for me to look at improvements.

All constructive feedback is appreciated.

Fateweaver is the gak.

I played the FMC list at NOVA and I can't tell you jow invaluable the re roll is.

Also, horrors are the obvious choice. With so many psykers, you need a plethora of psychic dice.

He has very few Psykers actually.

I'm actually wondering why you're running Nurgle DP (outside of the GUO requirement) and why the chaos contingent?
You have to get them into combat to win a game, bc Nurgle DP don't do anything by themselves.

I think slaanesh may work better for you. Outside of jink being better on Nurgle, ive found the lash invaluable because you can actually shoot. I've not been impressed with psyker spam, but did think my DP with the lash was an MVP every game. He's a flying dakkafex. You'd want some bio many spells probably. Iron arm or FNP keeps them alive.

I agree, a s9 lash to nasty to get away from.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also I prefer the black mace to the axe of blind fury. And even Be'lakor in a CSM detachment. He is a monster, literally, and can deal with just about anything on the table in cc. Also I find invisibility is very helpful.

Slaanesh is a totally different list - I Think I even wrote one once with 2 KoS and 4 DPs... all with lashes... I ran into big problems with S10 wea[pons doubling the DP out
.

Plus, without a balesword, any unit that has many wounds and is really a HtH specialist, will probably eat any deamon

To be fair, slaanesh is the subset of daemons which probably depends on monstrous creatures the least; with lots and lots of mid-strength rending attack available, you don't suffer the classic weakness most daemons have against walkers and tanks.
