But no Japanese people seem to care LOL.

Source
I'm sure there are Japanese gamers excited to get it, and a few people did appear to line up for the console. But, man, these photos circulating online do not look good for the Xbox One's chances in Japan.
Japanese consumers do buy foreign products, whether they are Apple hardware or German cars, when they think they're the best. For one reason or another, Microsoft was never able to convince people that the Xbox 360 was the best.

Admittedly this is not surprising given Xbone is not even that strong in the US.

Considering Japan doesn't like competitors to their products, it's not surprising.

Considering even America didn't really like the Xbox one too. When I was buying my console, the PS4 was always out of stock and the Xbox one was always in stock. The Xbox really flubbed things up.

I am quite surprised seeing Microsoft's long history of successful video game consoles in Asia!

Not just Japan guise.

The Netherlands and Belgium too, for instance. I'm picking mine up in November, together with Halo and Dragon Age.

This isn't very surprising, neither the original X Box nor the X Box 360 did very well in Japan. I'm also surprised at the comments of X Box One not doing well in the US, I remember reading it was leading the other consoles in North America.

The PS4 and XB1 both actually are flagging a bit in terms of sales. They have seen spikes based upon exclusive titles releasing but we should see some more definitive sales once they stop supporting crossplatform titles.

Neither are flagging. Well, the Xbox One has slowed down relative to its predecessor, but both have sold more than the 360 and PS3 had at this time in their lifespans.

Beat me to the punch there! Microsoft have failed spectacularly with every console launch in Japan. So why would this be any different? They would need a miracle to break the duopoly of Sony and Nintendo. And I'm afraid the Xbone is not it..

This generation has been simply uninspiring for people interested in consoles. I really don't see the benefit in "upgrading". Getting a little fed up with gaming in general.

Yeah, I'm more interested in upgrading my PC than I am in getting the next ecks-blawks.

Exactly how I feel. I actually built my first PC instead of buying the PS4...not a single regret. If I do get a "next gen" system, it'll be the Wii U.

This is exactly how I'm feeling. I've started digging out old Dreamcast and PS2 games. There is nothing that interests me at all on the new systems. I might get pulled in with a new Soul Caliber, but even then the price tag would probably stop me.

Black Bases and Grey Plastic Forever:My quaint little hobby blog.

40k- The Kumunga Swarm (more)
Count Mortimer’s Private Security Force/Excavation Team (building)
Kabal of the Grieving Widow (less)

Plus other games- miniature and cardboard both.

Well, considering that A: the Japanese don't really care about the Xbox brand and B: The Xbone has been tanking everywhere it's been released...this isn't surprising.

Yeah, it'll be Wii U for me too. Mainly because Bayonetta 2 is coming out on the Wii U and Bayonetta is awesome.
