Do reanimation protocols work after failing a hellfrost wound?

Yes, as raac is same as being removed from play.

Instant Death, removed from play, and removed as a casualty, etc are all synonymous now.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Wait, so Instant death would deny RP ad EL?

No, none of them work against Reanimation Protocol.

Sweeping Advance still denies RP's though

As it is explicitely excluded by the rule itself

A bit off-topic, but to what context this applies?

For when you get to make RP / EL rolls - previously Removed from Play did NOT allow you to make RP rolls.

Understood.
Actually, nevermind me, I tend to get overly pedantic when I encounter sweeping statements
It doesn't help that I strongly associate Helfrost stuff with cases when it's important to remember that ID and plain "RAAC" are different things, but that's another topic entirely.

Something else occurred to me; doesn't that mean "Removed from play with no saves allowed" or "Removed as a casualty with no saves allowed" is the same as Instant Death.
Surely that means Eternal Warrior makes me immune to those..?
Or is that wishful thinking?

If it isn't, where does it tell you they are all synonymous?

They are synonymous for the purpose of their interaction with RP/EL. Not for all cases. They are very similar because they have basically the same effect. But because they are different terms, things that call out and protect you from one specifically (Eternal Warrior only protects against Instant Death) do not protect you from the either things that have a similar but differently named effect.

Keep in mind... synonymous does NOT mean equivalent and/or interchangable, it means they are similar.

I understand now.
Though, before posting my previous response I did look up the definition, in case I was thinking incorrectly,, and it gave me two definitions; "to be similar", and also "to have the same meaning as another word or phrase in the same language", which is why I wasn't so sure.

Thanks for the clarification though.
