Can I reroll when I shoot the SAG with the Lucky Stikk? It says that you can reroll to hit-rolls. Does the scatter die count as that?
I'm thinking of a fun Big Mek build, with Warbike, SAG, and Lucky Stikk, and wonder if it works like I think.

no you cant unfortunately.
A scatter roll is not a "To Hit" roll. So lukky stikk doesnt allow you to reroll it.

Depends on the wording for ammo runts.
I think they still work since you just burn the runt to gain twin-linked for a turn. Not positive though.

Yes, you can reroll the scatter in such a case. It's why you take Ammo Runts for 3pts if you take the SAG.
p158 Main Rulebook wrote:If a model has the ability to re-roll its rolls To Hit and chooses to do so after firing a blast weapon, the player must re-roll both the scatter dice and the 2d6.

But won't the Lucky Stikk help then? It grants (among other things) re-rolls to hit?
The ammo runts are one use only, that's why I'm thinking of using the Stikk instead.

Blast Weapons and Re-rolls If a model has the ability to re-roll its rolls To Hit and chooses to do so after firing a Blast weapon, the player must re-roll both the scatter dice and the 2D6.

I've been thinking about running a big mek on bike with SAG and stickz. also with a git finder to give bs 3 (but thats a different discussion)
only thing my opponent asks... what classes as a fail on the re-roll? anything other then a direct hit? what if it scatters 1 inch so still 'hits' the target?

You could use to reroll the blast, but not the str, as has been said.
But honestly, ammo runts are cheaper, do the same job, and free up the immensely valuable stikk for other, better uses.
I guess the stikk would also you reroll wounds potentially, but still I'd count it as a waste, on the whole.

Agreed. Max out Ammo runts, for about 9pts? You will probably not use them all anyway. You might also consider the Gitfinda, as the Big Mek can't move any time he shoots, and so he'll be at BS3.
