So finally decided to begin some work into my Nurgle Splinter Force as a strong shield for my other Chaos units as Nurgle is always very meaty for shield work *wise nod*

So to start off the over time showcase thread here showing you #1 which is my first cultist as named Bayou Bill







As may guess, every Cultist will be converted, hopefully unique in their own model & all have their own name

Do hope to hear your views and opinions into the pooling rot that is of Nurgle (Maybe short to long gaps between each model as spray paint ran out and got my Raptors to still finish )

Are they all gonna have a backwoods, swamp mutant theme?

Aye these are based on Cultists that were originally Catachan fighters in swamp filled planets... and then in back story of them, my Nurgle Lord emerged

They will share the common theme of swamp style looks & mutations but will have unique factors on each single model

Might be worth picking up some Wood Elves Dryads bits for your cultists. Nurgle likes to have strange looking horns on his guys.

Will certainly have a look round for such things need to wait for my brother to get back first from his holiday then can prob do a joint order to get more parts and such

Ha! I do that with my brother too lol. Though we've recently put a stop to it (Lots of bits not doing anything+ distracting from finishing our respective armies)

lol my brother is starting to step into that area of thought slightly, as he collects Astra Militarum & Dark Angels at moment and he got small back log of maybe 2 squads worth of boxes

I only have 2 and half raptors to finish off in my chaos army at moment that was built up

Thanks built up the next one but clearing the backlog that had developed slightly first before getting that one started and next built up.

For all to enjoy this sight of the next Swamp Cultist Origional name is Chris McCan but gained 'Club'em' after a series of battles with his skills with mace / club style weapons.

That is true, I did have thoughts of making an Orgryn like an Cultist Champion to make them look different from each other so like a super infected, bloated cultist that had being forced by concentrated Nurgle energy to bloat it.

Fitting given chaos only strongest rule.
No nobility etc, only power or those too weak to use it

Aye exactly Khorne would fit that perfectly, Nurgle would go by prob illness scaling, Slaanesh would go for more vanity wise for who is higher and lower & Tzneetch is just who is most random lol

This cultist is 4th built but third painted, next one is the real second cultist just my paint order got muddled up so my bad on my end

Thanks for comments so far There is still 7 left to complete and also gotten something new for bases a texture paint which will hopefully boost the Nurgle rot when that is painted onto the texture paint

though if you do that to marines could have some very cool plague marines.
