I have over 5,000 pts of orks and about the same in space wolves so not sure what to go with now don't see the point in expanding them any further so what do i do now they are all painted which is an achievement all on its own considering both are troop heavy.
Not sure where to start another army or go to another game if so what ?
Not a fan of skirmish games

Play another game mate. I think 2 armies is enough
Maybe try a smaller scale game for bigger battles? Or go into naval combat games, or modern combat etc.
Heaps of choice, provided you can find people to play with.

I'll second the other game suggestion. No one should limit themselves to one game, we're in a golden age of gaming right now and whatever you're into there will be something else that can go alongside your 40k nicely. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, if you're not a fan of skirmish I won't suggest infinity, but Firestorm armada (sifi naval), Planetfall (same universe but smaller scale land battles like epic 40k was), dropzone commander (different universe and mechanics, same idea as planetfall), Flames of War (WWII mass battles at 15mm), Bolt Action (WWII again, but 28mm and more like older editions of 40k where its closer to skirmish but still 20+ models and a tank), kings of war (like warhammer fantasy but much more balanced, faster to play and probably easier to find opponents these days), dystonian wars (steampunk naval, air and land) and x wing (it has x wings) are all good games.

I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

Another game, no reason to start a third army. What kind of settings/games interest you?

2 armies enough?? Only if you have nothing left to enjoy or gain by making another. I have a bunch of 2K armies all painted and finished (around 8-10, some from the same codex but different colours and themes) and still get enjoyment out of building new forces.
For me - until I stop enjoying it or have nothing left to build and paint that I want to - I will keep building armies.
I do play other games as well but that's no reason to just stop 40k if you enjoy it

Not collecting more 40k isnt stopping 40k. Its just expanding your hobby.

Given your current armies, you're running some fairly choppy armies, you could if you simply perfer that play style continue the trend and run Blood Angels (proably too similer to puppies though) Chaos (deamons or marines) or Grey Knights.
that said I'd look into Imperial guard, as they're a shooty army so it'd be something differnt and you can run em as battle brothers with your wolves.

+1
Having other games is a good thing, there is no reason to get married to any 1 system even if it where the greatest game in the universe.
Eventually playing the same game over and over (even with new armies) it will start to get stale. So you pull out your other army for your other system, get a few games with that in. Jumping between just breaks it up a little, allows you to maintain steam longer by switching gears now and then.

Definitely continue painting what you have. If you don't feel too limited in 40k with those two armies (ie. enjoying both) then definitely consider another game. A lot have a low entry cost and provide a great alternative gameplay, such as X-Wing, DZC, Dreadball, Deadzone etc (ie. the ones I've picked or am picking up ;p ) If you're not a fan of Skirmish games, there's Kings of War which has a fairly low entry thanks to cheap Mantic prices, Dreadball is a violent sports game that's really fun, X-Wing is just awesome, not sure if you'd consider it a skirmish game.

Have dystopian wars as well again expanded to the point of nothing more worth doing to any fleet.
I seen planet fall but have heard its just the same rules yet again as all the rest so no point going further will buy a rule book for it when its out but if its like the rest its a waste regardless how good the models look.
Have a few large fleets for full thrust fun game but again nothing to go any further with.
FoW does interest me played a few small games nice game but would rather it was sci-fi and have limitless scope.
Dzc is a rip off and even with the new plastic starters won't get into it under the principal that they charge £12 for 4 wee stands of troops and there just isn't enough troops in the game. Also not enough type is minis per side and the design does nothing for me apart from the looks of the new resistance but will never get into the game
Looking forward to the star wars armada game that could be worth a look.
Will continue to play 40k but nothing to paint or feel I want to buy as had most army's at one point or another.
Am sure I will pick something up thanks for the suggestions

Bolt action is similar to 40k, I wouldnt call it a skirmish looking at the starter sets I just purchased, but its cheap and easy to pick up.
May keep you busy while you think about where to expand next.

There are so many good games out there that it would be hard to choose a bad one.
Infinity has its new starter set coming out and it looks amazing.
Just chose the game that you think looks the most interesting and dive in.

Bolt action was a game I looked into even bought a box of Germans and soviets the models are horrible just couldn't get on with them and again rather sci-fi that historical
Infinity is not my cup of tea skirmish games just don't hold anything for me and hate metal minis.
Looked into that Martian front game but not enough out for it and don't like the Martians lol
The problem is I expect better although the amount of games has expanded I don't see much worth my money or time to paint up. Have been drifting from game to game since they stopped space marine/titan legion. Hated epic 40k to the point where I stopped playing table top games for years. Came back into it all with battle fleet Gothic and full thrust but none was close to the fun and enjoyment I got from epic.

Buy Sisters. Build a Convent-army. They also ally well with both of your other armies, but play significantly differently.
