General discussion has become dakkas complaint box. Idk why people get themselves worked up si much over little army guys. It's a fun hobby, let's put the discussions back into this forum, not the gw hate, or the hate on any army or list that's decent, and just crying cheese. Together we can turn this sub forum back around my friends!

We should have discussions on what fun themed battles / lists that people can come up with.

Places like this are where people come to discuss, bring to light, learn about, and vent about the negative aspects of their hobby. That's part of what forums like this are for. It's a good thing. It helps drive needed change.

One can avoid such threads and discussions easily enough if one desires to.

You keep insinuating that everyone who dislikes something about 40k, whether their complaint has merit or not is a whiner who should just go away or shut up and deal. It's quite frankly offensive and not constructive.

You seem to subscribe to the GW style of criticism: If you just stifle any complaints, then everything must be perfect.

It doesn't work like that.

Not directly, it's not going to change the fact that Rough Riders in the current IG book are worthless, but they help drive changes in events and tournaments, and has some part the meta-changes for a future edition (for example, everyone complains about X being overpowered in Y edition, it gets nerfed in Z edition). It's not always for the best, it's rarely direct, but it's there.

Either way, this is a discussion board for a hobby, and nothing says it has to just be all roses and muffins.

As long as discussion follows the rules of the forum, its discussion. So not spammy, flamey, etc. People discussing issues they have with the game within these bounds is all good

I think we all know how this will end.

Maybe DMB should up his posting game.

Its kind of ironic that someone who regularly gets their own threads locked complains about complaints in the GD board.

The purpose of the forum is to discuss the hobby. If people have complaints about the current state of the game, then that's what they'll discuss.
