Anyone ever do double TAG? (A TAG Team, if you will!)

Orks - "Da Rust Gitz" : 3000 pts
Empire - "Nordland Expeditionary Corps" : 3000 pts
Dwarfs - "Sons of Magni" 2000 points
Cygnar - "Black Swan" 100 pts
Trollbloods - "The Brotherhood"
Haqqislam- "Al-Istathaan": 300 points
Commonwealth - Desert Rats /2nd New Zealand 1000 points

Double TAGs can work at 400pts, for the same reason that full HI links work at 400pts - you've still got roughly 200pts to spend on the rest of your list, so you can still afford a decent other 8 models for the combat group. The TAGs will definitely be your muscle though. At 300pts, it's possible, but you're not going to have much of a supporting force.

Personally, I'm hoping the Maghariba Guard gets made AVA 2 with the Caliphate list in Acheron Falls, if only because it'll give me more reason to buy the new model. And fielding both the old and the new would be pretty awesome.

You can do it with QK at 300 with Scarface and Iggy (as they are both under 80ish pts.). Corregidor (?) can do it with Geckos (but they are more HVY armour that can't go prone than TAG).

I did it in one game with my QK (Iggy and scarface). Wasn't fun for my nomad opponent (but he said he wanted to face a TAG or two to see how they worked). I do have 9 of them - and if he ever wants to use one against me, I'll loan him one if he doesn't have one (Iggy, Lizard or geckos). It wasn't his first game (I'd never use a TAG against a noob.) nor his first 300pt game. He had several good hackers (HD+) but he positioned them badly and they got shot before he could immobilise my TAGs.

Yup. NO links in vanilla. Links are mainly sectorial (unless you have Tohaa - which ONLY has a vanilla faction) and Oznat only links with Hungries in the MORAT sectorial.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Vanilla Nomads can also run two Geckos.

I've also faced a pretty fearsome Acontecimento Shock Army force that had both Toni and a Tikbalang at 300pt.

Double O-Yorois work quite well in straight beatdown scenarios.

I've both fielded and faced that. It is indeed brutal. Not as brutal as O-Yoroi plus Haramaki link, but still nasty. You can use one TAG as a suicide trooper and still have some fangs left (which I also often do with the O-Yoroi and Haramaki combo).

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Heh, I remember thinking "Can you fit a TAG and an HI link in a 300pt list?" Then I made one, posted it, and the official forums were never the same again.

Dangerous, dissident thoughts.
