So, just started fantasy and Skaven, and i read up most of the fluff on the fantasy wiki, so i could still be a bit rough on the lore, so advice is very welcome!

CLAN KRAK

Clan Krak is feared by the many enemies of the Skaven, being taken a prisoner by these abominations would be a worse fate than death, the pure horror and vileness committed upon their prisoners of battle is enough to make a grown man shiver with fear.

The infamous Clan was created after a civil war in the huge Clan moulder was sparked, as the greed and hatred of a certain unknown Clan rat had exploded into a lust for power thought even unusual for a Skaven. This revolution soon spread through the clan-rat hordes, and violence started to occur, bloody and brutal battles in the streets of the hell pit were being won by the rebellion day after day, the notorious clan rat soon started a plan for the overtaking of the current moulder leader. The plan was soon commenced, and millions of vermin swarmed the city, slaughtering all loyalists with warp stone fuelled barbarity, this continued for hours on end, until they were ready to storm the current leaders stronghold...

Hacking down the doors and blowing down the walls, the endless horde of revolutionaries were soon getting towards their target, this was until legions of Stormvermin and mutated horrors surrounded them in a narrow vice, they did not attack, only sitting their snarling and cursing until the tyrant emerged before the unknown Clan rat now known as "The Cleaver"...the dictator made a desperate promise which would begin the feared Clan Krak.

After talking in awkward and argumentative manner, the Cleaver soon shook his head in agreement, and snarled at the cowardy leader before signalling his horde to follow him on a exodus to the direction of the imperial province of Stirland (it is currently unknown where the Clan's nest is, but it is apparently near Stirland), to breed and grow a festering horde of Skaven even the most courageous would fear, as it is understood that the tyrant of Clan moulder strangely offered them their own clan and their own power, something a Skaven would never refuse.

USE OF CLAN KRAK

The usefulness of Clan Krak is huge for the whole Skaven race, as a treaty was signed by the four main Skaven clans as a punishment for Clan Kraks disobedience, this was created to force Clan Krak to feed the all of the mighty 4 with their prisoners of war, Skaven or human it mattered not.

Clan Krak soon had a huge influx of human prisoners of the Empire and Bretonnia, this was a main component of the Clan's vile society...

A eyewitness account from a Ostemark man at arms named Karl Wulfberg read:

"After days of walking on soil mixed with fecal matter and human remains through the seemingly endless tunnels underneath the earth, we arrived at huge metal barbed gates guarded by two olive-green robed ratmen wearing gasmasks, they hoarded us into a mob and marched us into a massive city of everything unholy, their were spikes decorated with desecrated remains everywhere, with intestines wrapped around as if they'd been decorated for a nice decoration for a wife...there were Ratmen with gas masks everywhere, the smell was putrid and foul enough to make you gag, and hung up skinned corpses of our brothers were all around us in cages caked with dried blood and vomit. The men of my regiment soon began to pray for hope, and a Ratmen abomination took one out and cut his head off with a rusty cleaver so we could feel even more hopeless and terrified.

After the evil creature hung the head onto his belt, he had a bloodcurdling chuckle with a eerie sadistic smile which lasted in my head forever, as he stared into my soul he pushed a lever and we began to lower on a shaft to a pitch black hole...as we passed down, we saw multiple layers of filthy cages and nests, i even saw a grotesque monster which appeared to be a massive pale worm, with a rats tail and and around 50 pink creatures suckling on its teats, the image made me vomit in my mouth, and i started to cower in fear of my life....

We started to stop, and were forced to shuffle into a stone room with bronze, dirty pipes going through the walls, we heard the Ratmen squabble and silence fell, we begun to calm oursleves, thinking this was a prisoner cell and that it was over.....we were wrong.

Burning green gas filled the room like a sea of green mist, i covered my mouth with a dirty rag and hid in the corner, i watched men as they threw up their intestines and organs literally, i saw livers and lungs slide out in a black substance...their deaths were not quick, as it took about half an hour for them all to fall, and by sigmar, i was lucky.

I pretended to be dead, and covered my mouth in the black substance to seem as if i was dead, the Vile vermin in cold gasmasks started to pick up the bodies and load them into a wooden cart, i was the last to be loaded up by their skeletal greasy fingers. We were pushed into a room with wooden table covered in blood, with a Rat standing at each of them with with a cleaver and a apron (still donning the mask though), i was slammed onto this board and turned around, i opened my eyes to see that the Vermin were butchering the corpses of my comrades and putting them into buckets, i laid still, and waited for my death to come, i thought of my family and hometown for a brief moment, and then thought of Sigmar, who i then believed i was blessed by.

The butchers left the room, and as it turned out, i wasn't killed because my near killer was in the opposite room from myself, i took the chance to jump in the wagon again and cover myself with a bloody blanket, which i then waited for them to continue. They re-entered the room and started loading the buckets onto me, it smelt like death, pure death. After they were finished they started pushing me out into the massive nest they inhabited, to which they re-entered the tunnel and started going off the the direction of the other nest i was in, a bigger one with cages of hellish beats scattered all over the place, i never wanted to be back their again, so i jumped out of the wagon with lightning speed, as i remembered ladders going up from the tunnel...it seemed i would have to guess where i would end up at that moment.

I succeeded with the plan and continued to stumble up the rusty ladder, it lead on for miles and my hands were bleeding from the sharp rust, but i thankfully made it up there...into the outskirts of Altdorf..."

The journal ends here, and continues into insane ramblings of blasphemous gods and other heresy, the survivor was hanged a few months later for unknown reason.

This is how the Clan executes its job, delivering the corpses of terrified men with families and children to the other endless Skaven clans, which they feast upon in hordes of bloody hunger and horror.

Military
Clan Krak is also known for the barbaric and psychotic hordes it marches onto the armies of the old world, they often take some sort of warp-stone type drug to fuel their viciousness even more. It is also known that Clan Krak eat the dead of the enemy and even their own, and use the prisoners for giving other clans rotten meat.

The colour of the Clan is quite dark and putrid, with bloody olive green and dark browns colouring their irregular uniform.

So, i know it probably sucks a bit, but what do you guys think? i wanted something unique and dark and grotesque, with a dark paint scheme.

Advice would be really welcomed.
(sorry for any spelling mistakes)

Cool that you made your own back story for a clan of your own. I personally don't do that just because idk I just don't lol.

The story is pretty cool but I think the rebellion thing against clan moulder isn't really that plausible. Especially since the leader of your clan/rebellion isn't known or whatever. I think it would have made more sense that say clan moulder sent out an army to fight against a certain army (whoever you want) and they were lead by your leader guy (create a back story for just him) and he went to war and was never heard from etc.

If someone in clan moulder had the power to start a rebellion that big against one of the biggest clans I don't see why he wouldn't have just killed the clan moulder leader and worked up that way (which is how skaven society works)

Anyways just my opinion... Might be a little scrambled lol cool story though and welcome to skaven!

Thanks mate!

I was going to say that the leader bluffed about his amount of soldiers, and he also told The Cleaver that all of the other main clans were coming to assist him, he knew he could not win so he made a offer out of a bluff, which the cleaver agreed out of desperation. Skaven can be a bit dimwitted can't they?, and nearly all of the rebellion were clan-rats, and the Cleaver started to think that they would not have stood a chance against the loyalist army.
So i guess they both made their decisions out of fear.

Also, i might put that out of same, clan moulder burnt all records of this and acted like nothing had happened, to make out that they were still strong.

fun read but then Skaven stuff always is.....

If they believe in them all shoud fear being captured by the Skaven

There is an excellent short story in Hammer and Bolter called the Barbed Wire Cat by Robert Earl that shows how nasty being the slave of a Skaven is and what you need to be or do to survive - hint it helps if you are a psycopath

I wouldn't say that Skaven are dimwitted. Certainly the slaves are but that is because they die so fast
Skaven are some devious buggers so you know...they know how to weasel their way out of situations so I can see what you are saying about bluffing etc.

Yeah, i must say that your right about them being dimwitted, dunno why i said that really.

Ive also decided to change the Clan name to Clan Kleave-Krak, just sounds more relevant with the whole butchers cleaver.
