Thats so crazy. I was just talking to a friend of mine in Sydney last night. I mentioned something about how nobody ever messes with Australia because they're so laid back.

She corrected me and informed me of the recent raids conducted by police in militants in Sydney.

After I got to thinking about it...I had a "duh" moment.

Malaysia is right next door. Massive Muslim population. Breeding ground for terrorist activity. I guess now I am surprised that the Aussies haven't been affected sooner.

I agree with this. Once they pervert and twist the Islamic religion, they shouldn't be referred to as Muslims. Continuing to call them such does every real Muslim a disservice.
If western media and Muslim community leaders stopped using key phrases like martyr, jihadist or Muslim for them, then maybe the Muslims that get recruited would think twice because there would be a more distinct line they are crossing.
I don't see Australia's Muslim community leaders doing this tho. From what Ive seen of Australia's Muslim leaders, a decent number of them are sympathetic to ISIS or are radical extremists themselves.

Its not a perversion. This is extremism of the religion but not perversion of it. Wahhabiism is extreme. Its comes in cycles.
