If Im not mistaken, I thought Season 1 was pretty much attributing the Lindisfarne Raid to "Ragnar Lodebroke" which really is the first recorded instance that we know for sure that the Vikings sailed "West". I don't doubt that they had been doing so for longer, but there's little to no evidence to suggest this until after Lindisfarne.

Just as moot as theirs, there's plenty of talk in that series like 90% roughly, and 10% fight, just like in 300.
...what.
Okay, let me spell it out for you, 300 was a bad example because in most of the BATTLES he didn't wear his helmet either.
Besides, I don't see how this is such a big issue in a series that is plainly not accurate to begin with.
No, it's not that bad, as the vikings also could take off their helmets in battle.
Gimli in LOTR has his helmet on all the time, as far as I know, yet we can recognize him as John Rhys-Davies, isn't that so?
Ok, Batman then? ..our masked crusader doesn't suddently make us forget who he is, even in all his movie reincarnations we still remember the actor.

Actually, I didn't even know it was John Rhys-Davies untill years after I saw LOTR (Im not a LOTR fan btw).
As for Batman, he's got plenty of Bruce Wayne time.

Well, I guess you can provide major spoilers, just use the appropriate tag. From what I seemed to understand, all the good guys turn Christians in the end and the bad guys stay asatruer.
In that case-
Spoiler:
Perhaps the bad Vikings tend to stay true to their religion- but calling Ragnar Christian is a stretch. Christians don't sacrifice their men to Odin, or subject their most hated enemies to painful executions so that they have a shot at Valhalla or being stuck with Hel for all eternity.
Flokki gleefully bashes any and all Christians, and is an essential protagonist on the show. He saved all of their lives on many occasions. Lagertha hasn't a glimmer of chirstianity, or curiousity in that religion.
Athelstan began as a monk, is now Thor curious, and was nearly crucified, literally, when he returned to his homelands for being an impure Christian.
Compared to any of the Viking chieftains, even poor Jarl Borg (or however it is spelled) the Christian rulers are weak, fat, manipulative hellions or treacherous snakes. All the while proudly procaliming themselves proper Christians. The Vikings tend to spare those that don't fight back, and even have executed their own for attempting to rape Christians.

Hate to break it to you Ahtman, but because Gilligan's Island doesn't star Bear Grylls, it isn't a story of island survival

Who was also upset that he was covering his face. In one of the early interviews about the movies, he was griping about spending his life building up a career where people recognised his face, only to get his biggest role yet and have to cover his face in prosthetics to the point he wasn't recognisable (I still don't see him in there, and I've seen the films quite a lot). He still did it, because he was being handed a huge role. But again, it's not something he wanted to do, and is the reason not all actors do things that make them less recognisable.

On the other hand I think a person is mentally if s/he can't remember the actor that plays Batman, when he puts on his mask.
