I doubt they're going to change Dorns weapon loadout now it's printed in the book. Apparantly his chainsword is huge, that's why its unwieldy, according to a seminar yesterday.

In book 4 they talk about a nemisis titan that has 4 reaver weapon mounts and two carapace mounts, some troop space, so still very potent. I would expect the warlord to be the nemisis so they can still keep the size managable for a large (8x4 or 10x4) table. The stormbird seems to have been downsized from the fluff, as has the new giant ray gun (its the smaller one not the larger one).

The Nemesis class titan was, depending on the background either a long range Warlord Titan or a Warlord Class Psi-Titan.

I'm reading Vengeful Spirit at the moment, which, without spoiling anything for those who haven't read it, features a large scale planetary invasion with Titans and Knights. I've noticed several features and names seemingly mentioned in passing which are either new or drawn from fluff I'm not familiar with.

Given that the HH novels have become the Hasbro Saturday Morning cartoon to FW's toy range of models recently, I think a few more variants and add on kits are a near certainty.

So there's a bunch of Imperial Fist releases, Templars and everything, we get word that a new Primarch is incoming and it's Guilliman as opposed to Dorn, and there's no sign of Sigismund to boot? That makes me a sad Templar.

Well, at least you just got loads of stuff, it's not as if you've got nothing.

You could be a Raven Guard player, who by the looks of it have nothing but some upgrade packs to look forward to.

Tell that to the IW players. They don't even get those.

I mean, it is the Iron Warriors. Isn't the whole reason Perturabo went traitor because everyone and their mother ignored him and pretended he didn't exist? They're the red-headed stepchildren of the Legiones Astartes.

I can remember the Nemesis being the heaviest (six void shields, 6/12cm move, limited manoeuvrability) Warlord sub-class, but where - if you recall - did the Psi-Titan business come from? I can only recall them being promised in the never-published second Adeptus Titanicus supplement.

Dorn wasn't - unless my memory cheats - at Istvaan V, so you probably shouldn't be surprised. GEtting Guilliman in place of Corax or Perdurabo, though, is unexpected.

Have no more cool things been unveiled today, or are people just waiting until supper to post them?

Dorn is in Extermination though so he was as likely to be next as Alpharius, Perturabo or Corax. I mean Guilliman didn't even look near finished so one of those 4 could still be first.

And there was a fair amount of info about Tempest released today but apart from Guilliman no models.

Man, Forgeworld has been doing 40k so much better than GW these days. All of their imperial forces just look so stellar and grand, everything about this 30k stuff to me looks so much better. And yes, I realize 30k is supposed to be bigger and better, but what FW is putting out for the Imperium is how I've always thought these armies should have looked- especially compared to GW's Imperial Guard releases.

I don't think any model bigger than the Reaver Titan would be profitable to produce, they would also cost so much they would barley sell any, plus it would be too large to practically use in any game of 30k or 40k, you'd need like a 8"x4" board to play on

The Tau manta begs to differ on all those points, really.

That's kind of the thing with ridiculous resin models is that you really don't need to sell that many to make back costs. You produce on demand, which keeps the material costs low, and you only have to sell a few to make back whatever investment went into the design and tool up of the thing.

Not to mention that unlike the Manta, a Warlord would have a much broader base appeal.

I'm almost certain that's not what he was told. Corax apparantly has been started but is moving around the schedule quite a bit (according to m_r_parker on B&C, who was also there).

"When are we getting Corax?" - Corax is moving around schedule, has done some prep work.

Deredo dread, slightly shorter than a contemptor, same legs, different feet and cowling over the feet. Mine came with two left missile launchers, bah.

New mech squids seem to be on 32mm bases, bah again.

Just looking at those models, I find it really hard to believe they're smaller than Marines. Could we get a scale pic?

They definitely fill the 32mm bases, I don't think they'd have fit on 25s.

It is bloody perfect, FW has read my mind! I really hoped Solar Auxilia officers would get great coats. These will make an absolutely perfect Rogue Trader's landing party.

And I think someone said Tempest is to be released as part of the new Warhammer World Grand Reopening event.

My (unexamined) assumption was that Dorn was there with the Imperial Fists list just for completeness. To be honest, Guilliman looks pretty damned good, so whoever's next I'm not going to complain.

On the subject of his characteristic mittens, can anybody recall offhand whether he's wearing them in Know No Fear?

sure, they are thinner ( arms aside) and the 'foot' of the squid is fairly small, easy go on a 25mm.

Yeah but they look like they overhang enough from the 32mm, they'd be silly on a 25mm.

Guillimans armour is awesome.

They overhang on 32mm bases, if that was the reason 32mm fails as well. They'd need to be on 40mm.
