Hey guys
I'm wondering if anyone knows what the GW equivalent of these two paints are?
http://www.snmstuff.co.uk/vallejo-model-color-808-blue-green/
http://www.snmstuff.co.uk/vallejo-model-color-895-gunship-green/
They're not actually in the chart here :(

So does reading posts before replying to them.
I made this thread because the two colours mentioned aren't in that chart.
You'll notice they're not in the chart because I typed it into my first post.

You are out of luck unfortunately... There are very few direct GW equivalents in the Model Color range as they were designed for two separate purposes.

Aww that's a shame. I guess I had to start dipping into other paint ranges eventually anyway!
Thanks for the reply dude.

It's worth making the jump.
Vallejo - has 5 lines Model Color (more matte finish and toned down coloros)
Model Air (some of the best silvers you will ever use)
Game Color (the equivalent to the last GW line and great stuff)
Game Air (brand new line of Game Color equivalents designed for airbrushing)
Liquid Golds (most amazing golds you will find)
P3 also make great paints but tends to have colors that a bit different then the rest of the market but they are really smooth and are designed for 2 brush blending.
Reaper has 2 lines and both are really good.
There are others out there that I am not thinking of right now.

Try looking at the links below the chart, specifically where Vallejo themselves give suggested equivalents for the new GW line.

The Model Color line of paints was never meant to parallel GW paints so any colors that match are approximates; some are close, some aren't. The Model Color range is much larger than GW's as well so there are plenty of colors that have no direct, or even close, match.
Model Color was designed for general and military modeling so it matches RLM, RAL, and other general modeling paints (Gunze, Tamiya, etc.).

Which is why I said they were suggested equivalents from Vallejo.

There's not a lot of reason to stick religiously with GW paint unless you can't find Vallejo paint in your local stores (or half a dozen other brands for that matter). There's a lot of paint manufacturers out there, might as well try a few of them.

Again, not every Vallejo color has a suggested equivalent.
What the OP is looking for, color 808 and 895, are among the many, many Vallejo colors that have no direct or approximate equivalent to GW paint.

And again, per the 2014 Game Color Pamphlet which is linked at the bottom of the Paint Range Compatibility Chart Vallejo themselves recommend Model Colour 895 Gunship Green as an equivalent for Waaagh Flesh and Model Colour 808 Blue Green as an equivalent for Temple Guard Blue.

You're right, I stand corrected. I also used this chart and I found it as well, however I was originally looking in the wrong area which is why I missed it. If you knew the answer, why didn't you give it in your first response?
However, that doesn't change the fact that while a lot GW colors do have a Vallejo equivalent, it doesn't always work the opposite way.

The swatches are a little deceiving. One problem you will have matching Model Air with Citadel is that VMA colors (like Panzer Aces) are designed to be more realistic, and Citadel (like Game Color) are designed for "fantasy/scifi", meaning they are much brighter and vibrant. As a result, some of the camo shades do not translate directly very well.
With that said, if I were to pick an alternative to gunship green, I would go with something between waagh flesh and castellan green. Warboss green is a very similar hue, but it's much more saturated. Loren Forest is also in the green camouflage range.
The Blue Green is much harder, because the Citadel range has tons of blues, but teals. Kabalite Green is a teal, but not really close to the color you're after.
