His Hive Tyrant (ML2) used this ability (which is Nova, not a Witchfire) on my 2x Dreadknights (ML1 with the Aegis) and 5x Terminators (ML1 with the Aegis)... how would I Deny the Witch on this one?

I think I would be able to roll 5+ (Brotherhood of Psykers) and reroll 1s (the Aegis) when denying... but am uncertain because Psychic Scream is a Nova power not a Witchfire so do I get the modifiers or not?

Nova powers are a subtype of witchfire powers.

Novas still have a target, they just happen to hit other things in range as well. Whatever he chose as the target gets to use it's deny the witch buffs.

Actually a nova automatically targets (and hits) all enemy units within range.

Which would mean he gets to pick from the multiple units which one does Deny the WItch.

Against a witchfire or malediction that targets multiple units the player making the deny the witch roll gets to choose which unit makes the roll. But there's only one roll.

In this case it doesn't really matter, just pick one of them cause their deny is all the same. But say one of them had a ML3 librarian, you'd select him.

It's actually pretty clear about this in the Psychic Phase section of the rulebook, have you had a chance to check out the new psychic rules in 7th?

Novas are now a subset of Witchfires and follow all of their rules with the exceptions noted in the book. Additionally:
