Also, get some more terrain. Your board has a huge no mans land in the middle that is a huge liability for Orks. You should be mixing LOS blocking stuff with regular pieces to give yourself some protection. Eldar are pretty cheese right now as it is with the WS. With no real terrain you basically give everything in his army free reign to rip you to pieces for multiple turns.

Hey thanks a lot for your battle report I really enjoyed it! Something I think you should consider doing if you plan on running The Green Tide is taking a CAD as primary and use a Warboss in that detachment with Da Finkin Cap. I know you lose the infinite Waaagh! ability but you gain four chances at rolling the Master of Ambush Warlord Trait. Two rolls for your Warlord Traits with re-rolls because it's a CAD. Can you imagine starting your entire Green Tide 18" away from the enemy? Don't give up on Orks they are still competitive despite what the interwebs say.

@y0: I didn't consider the thinking cap. I'll check that out. Thanks for the hint. (Oh that would make it nova compatible too). But the dakka jets would become less useful, obviously.

@ned: terrain was placed at random PRIOR to mission, deployment AND sides were chosen. Plus, if you're running the tide, cover is your enemy! You will be rolling 2d6 for your walk. No bueno. I was placing MY terrain for vanguard or DoW deployments. (66% chance). Got worst outcome w H&A.

Honestly I think Dakkajets have really lost the punch they used to have. You already have Lootas on the Skyshield which is a very durable good shooting unit that isn't limited an Skyfiring. If you need more AA I'd recommend throwing a unit of Traktor Gunz up on that Skyshield. As long as they cause a glance or pen you have a 33% chance of making them crash and burn. On FMCs if you inflict a wound you're almost guaranteed to put on another with the ground check.
