Games Workshop website today asked me to fill in a survey about their site upon visiting it.

As it seems they are conducting research, and asking how they could improve their website, it would appear the company is taking an active role in preventing their decline.

Maybe now they'll listen to their consumers.

Here's to hoping.

My $0.02, which since 1992 has rounded to nothing. Take with salt.

If it was a webstore only questionnaire, odds are they're simply trying to improve the site to ship more stock/sales.

I recall them saying in one of the annual reports they simply dont care what the customer thinks, they know their audience and they produce kits for that sole audience.

Hoping for what? More disappointment?

This is GW after all we are talking about. They don't know how to do anything good. It's not the website we are complaining about, but crappy rules, crappy writing, and no support.

Funny they are asking how to improve the site, but not the product. This is not what the customer wants.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

The fact they even say they "know their audience" makes me chuckle.

Their audience is really audienceSSSSSS.

UK vs USA is the most obvious contrast. GW stores are a joke in the US and are a big deal in the UK. (i think??, i dont know i need to do research lolz)

How about the guys who want large warlord games vs guys who want an infantry tactics game.

i could go on but "holy berry your head in the sand batman".

I am sure it is given to random visitors of the site. It is possible the people getting it even have a slightly different site altogether. Fairly common to do A/B testing like this and surveys with them.
