I'm looking for a site (other than ebid) that sells Heralds of Oblivian, the Malifaux Starter Crew for Tara. I've tried googling but come up blank. UK based is preferred.

Killjoys make some noise!

The crew was limited edition and, outside of two weekends, has not been available. You're stuck dealing with finding them that way until the regular version of the crew is released.

You're not going to find a store that sells it for reasons above.

Try the facebook page "A Wyrd Place", eBay, or the trading forum on the Malifaux official forum (it's a sub forum under "Miniature Matters"

All three are your best bets. Keep in mind that the sets retail price is $80 USD ($90 for the smokey version) and hasn't been for sale since November of last year. These things commonly sell for over $110 USD. I paid $135 for mine. If you can you may want to wait till Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving in the US) as they might be up for sale again. If you can't, go to the Facebook page and ask there. There's always someone selling, a Herald Set was selling just a couple of days ago.

Hope that helps.

Ooooh. I saw a set going for 99CAD at my FLGS. With the conversion rate as it is right now, it's good buy.

If that's still the case, and there aren't any funky taxes or such that's about $89 USD. That's the cheapest I've seen since I started looking in July. It's a good crew and if you're remotely interested and have the money to spend I'd jump on it. Congratulations.

Yep, made a lot better with the wave 2 upgrade cards (made the dead weight totem solid, and the glass cannon less glass)

Ahahahah. This is Quebec. We tax everything 15%, except that which we can tax more! Still, a decent buy. I wish I knew the style of play before committing to buy though.

Short version, tricky, mostly focusing on more actions and achieving objectives, with ways of taking enemies out of the game temporarily, and light summoning. Long version, an article i wrote

I (obviously) like her, though she's a bit tricky to learn.

Excellent article man. I think I've read it, then forgot it. Nice to see it again.

Thanks! Yeah, I have a lot of fun writing those (though I haven't done that many)- I'm working on one for Mei Feng next (though it won't need as much depth, since a large part of her strategy amounts to "liberally apply fist to faces").

I'm curious. Has Wyrd published any other crew's full cards in Chronicles? It seems so weird that Tara has been "released" for so long in 2e without a crew box. I know that's not weird for 40k players, but it doesn't seem like Wyrd's style.

It was a preview for the immediately following limited edition release, and I believe she's been the only one.

She and the brewmaster are tied for longest without crews, and I believe they, the Whiskey Golem, the Peacekeeper, the Austringer. and Crooked Men are the only book 1 sets without models previewed/with announced release dates yet (and only the Brewmaster's crew doesn't have a LE or metal version).

Brewmaster! That's the one I was thinking of.... He wasn't published with Chronicles though, right?

A plastic Peacekeeper would be so nice... so so very nice.
