The goal was to get him done in an hour or less. He took 2ish but then I hit him with the washes and varnish so I guess its all good. I really like everything about this model other than the face. I just don't like how that part was sculpted but hey....

The stitching on the coat made this one really easy, it was just a matter of picking the right colors.

Where is the Face Ur Talking about? Isnt he wearing some Kind of mask?

I got that at first too because the face is hard to differentiate from the cloth but Ragman is an undead pirate. He has a skeleton/ghost face/head, wearing a tricorn hat. It's easiest to see in the first picture, in the middle of the lump of his face there's a red dot. That's one of his eyes.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The boots and the base look pretty good though, the coat and the face just kind of all blend together. Might want to pick out the coat's colors in lighter or darker shades to make it look more patchwork and less like a cape

Proud supporter of

Another good job in a short time....but that base is horrible.

In addition to looking sloppy, you can see the slotted metal part of the model in the first picture. Suggestion would be to mix in some finer grain sand to fill in between the coarse stuff you're using. Clean up the stray pieces that are on the edges.
Also, if you haven't used texture paint before, it works quite well. The citadel stuff is pretty decent, but dries out quick. I find I have to plan to use it as soon as I buy it, as opposed to having it sit on a shelf for when I might need it.

A heavier wash might be in order for the face as well, it's a little too bright for a decrepit old pirate.

Curious to see what model's next.

Good catch on the base! I agree that the face still looks a bit flat. I think I'll hit it with a grey/green wash and see how that does.

Not sure what the next model is gonna be. I'm debating between Magnus1 and Alexia1

Uh, Ragman is definitely not dead or a pirate. He's a living noble who also happens to be a Tharamite. He covers his face with the mask and goggles to hide his identity.

Overall, for a quick paintjob, it is a great looking model. Well done!

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!
