It's not as if Vikings didn't destroy anything themselves, so I think we can probably call it even at this point.

Yeah, but they didn't force their culture on everyone, nor did they destroy cultures

Looks at history books...say what?

Looks at history book... Yeah, it's about accurate. The Vikings were known for their skills at trade/negotiation, their fighting prowess, and their adaptation. Every so often, a Viking would decide that he liked the particular area that they had just raided/pillaged, and would decide to stay. Over time, he would assimilate into that village/town's society each having impacts on the other.

Contrast this with ohh... The Crusades. The Thirty Years' War. Cortez, Columbus. I don't think we really need to go down this rabbit hole.

They do have a point on christianity destroying the lovely Viking culture, though, albeit it's no reason to attack someone on it personally, now.
Nah, it was more a case of vikings "destroying" viking culture by accepting Christianity.

However, there are two types of people. Those who state this...
Amundsen then used an expletive to state that if he met God, he would have sex with him.
... and bloody liars.

The Norse conquered Britain, tried to conquer Ireland, raided through France and the Germanies, conquered Normandy, sacked Constantinopel, and took thousands of slav (where we get "slave") prisoners.
A god portion of English comes from old Norse. Meanwhile no one went "A Crusadin" on Scandinavia.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

The 4th crusade destroyed another Christian nation because they weren't the right brand of Christianity....

Like Ferrae said. The list is quite the rabbit hole. But not sure how this history lesson has much to do with the crazy man who thinks he's a viking.
