Hey everyone,
So I have a question about the rules for the doomwheel and its zzzap attacks.

It says it targets the closest units within 18inches. Now I play the rule and interpret it as meaning 18 inches within 360 degrees of the model.
Have looked through the FAQ and it doesn't make mention to it.
Just asking because I have seen people try and say its within the front 180 degrees of the model.

Just wanted to clarify or hear your thoughts

I think there was another thread about this but it seems a bit split on how to play it. Maybe add a poll to the thread.
I play Skaven and as much as I would like it to be front arc, I play it and believe that it is 360 degrees.
Being that it states closest model/unit, friend or foe, it leads me to believe 360.
Being that you have the option for a Ld test to stop it also leads me to believe 360 otherwise this rule would be practically unnecessary.
It is a book from an older edition.

I feel the same Throt!
It would be nice if it wa only the 180 front arc but from what it seems like in the rules and from the model (having warpstone on the sides and front) I feel 360 degrees makes more sense.

I have added the poll tho!

Zzzap! bolts are resolved in the shooting phase, but they follow virtually none of the rules for standard shooting attacks.
If someone wanted to play it as front-arc-only, I'd ask for some pretty solid proof as to why it works that way.

Simple answer: it ignores line of sight and terrain.

Line of sight is the only reason you are limited to a 45 degree arc.

Malifaux masters owned: Guild(Sans McCabe), Outcasts(Sans Misaki), Arcanists(Sans Marcus)

They either don't know the rules for the doomwheel, or are cheating to protect their own guys, it's 360 ark for sure.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
