Hi, I've show interest in 15 ork bikers with a warboss with the special bike which is also joined by a painboy.

I've spoken to one of the members of my gaming group who plays grey knights and he seems to think thay this is "broken" and "op". I personally dont see his point as he runs multiple dk, massed ap4 flamer thingys all of which deal with them pretty easily.

He compared the unit to the stern and th/ss combo he had thought of using

So what do you guys think?

I think this is the wrong forum.

I also think that your opponent is being whiny. How on earth does a unit with 4+/FNP qualify as death star? There basic marine units which are more powerful, including all the ones you listed.

He probably is trying to bully you into not using a good unit (which this one is).

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Which part should it be part of? I thouthis would be the right place :p.

Yeah i can tell he's being a child about it, i made the same argument about the saves but he's fixed on the gk dex having little competitiveness in it.
So you agree that its not a deathstar and is on no level to the same op ness of the hammerstar? :p

It's probably better than the hammerstar due to being made up of actually effective models. Still not hard to counter, his flaming dreadknights can probably evaporate half the unit in one go.

Should be in tactics or general or something. YMDC is about rules questions, not polling.

NOt half - wounding on 3s and with a 5+ FNP "save" afterwards, and you shouldnt get more than 5 bikers under the template anyway.

Still, NOT a deathstar

It's an ork deathstar. Which is still a deathstar but not even a tiny bit broken. Mind you, regular choppa boyz are much more choppy than bikes point-to-point if that's what he's afraid of.

I was assuming that his multiple dread knights (I think you can run two now?) would come over and stop that broken and op deathstar

Deathstar does not mean broken. I think anything that can reliably be killed by heavy bolters without an armor save isnt even close being op.

He's just someone who throws out accusations, dont take them serious.

Also, it is comical that he plays GK, which for a long time was the most OP thing out there.

Let the galaxy burn.

I wouldn't call the time between the GK codex and 6th edition "a long time".
