Are badger paints already thinned to go straight through airbrushes (which would be common sense)?

Cheers lad
Does anyone know if you can put vallejo satin varnish through or does that need to be thinned?

Vallejo PU primers and varnishes all can be sprayed neat. Personally, I prefer to thin them a bit (I use Vallejo's airbrush thinner), as I find I get smoother coats and significantly reduced tip-dry, that way. When applying Vallejo varnishes by brush, I'll frequently add a touch of plain water - no ill effects noted in the finish and decreased likelihood of visible brush strokes.

Can anybody answer if an airbrush will tolerate Liquitex matte varnish going through it?

Yes.
For future reference, you can airbrush just about any liquid.

Only thing is to make sure you clean the brush carefully with proper cleaning fluid (alcohol, tinner or water if you use acrylics). Make sure there's no paint or varnish left when you put your brush away. And you'll be just fine.

For future reference, use some trial and error. You wont wreck your airbrush if it gets clogged. Lol. Most thinners can be used as cleaners as well, so there's that. Experiment, and don't be afraid. Just because it can go through your brush doesn't mean it still can't be thinned a little more. I like using real thin coats when I'm layering and meshing different shades.
