so what precisely is this game, as I very much doubt it "regicide" as seen in 40k, that happens on a round table and is NOT chess, so im quite interested in seeing what this is

It's a turn-based tactical game based on the mechanics of chess, but featuring elements that make it more akin to X-Com or Final Fantasy Tactics. It's a cross between a game that many of us learned how to play as children and a universe that the wargaming community is familiar with.
Although the 'round board' is certainly a variant of the lore-derived game of regicide, this is more of a narrative driven game featuring real characters rather than simply 'pieces'. There will be some board-game-like mechanics, but that's just the game.
You can read a bit about the mechanics of one of the 'pieces' here.

Looks good, only problem I have is that isn't the heavy bolter firing a bit too fast? I always thought of bolters being a slow heavy hitter and so the heavy bolter should be slower and heavier.

I really like the Ork Weirdboy. Not really a thing I've seen a lot of in 40k adaptations. Glad you included it.

I sort of agree with this, but it's a secondary concern. Those Orks look awesome and so do the Marines in particular. Automatically Appended Next Post: One small nitpick on the Heavy Bolter guy.
Shouldn't his left hand be flipped?

I would just like to say that these models are actually the best rendering for a videogame (or cinematic) of Space Marines I've ever seen. You guys seem to have taken the scaling right out of the Space Marine Codex for the White Scars entry, and all I have to say is job well fething done.
And unlike DOW or Space Marine, you also manage to make them equally intimidating in stature while also retaining the look of power armor. Certainly far better then the Eternal Crusade models.

I agree with this. Despite the sheer differences in scale between a MMO and a chess-game you managed to make your Marines look far better.
Hats off to you.

IIRC they're using Plastic-Wax as well for the models, so that also explains why they're awesome and feel like they carry weight.
They also don't make the pauldrons look incredibly stupid. I really can't stand when people miss the entire point of the large pauldrons on space marines and scale back their size to a point that there's no reason for them even existing.
