Hi
You have the best choice for hq and your troops are good for tar pitting your enemy tho maybe two teams of 30 and a deep striking ripper swarm maybe more effective with maelstrom missions
I would worry about synaps as your hq should be swooping to be at there best so the rest of your force will be at risk maybe find space for models with synaps

Hope that helps

I am confused, either you have some bad info on costs, or you have a sub-optimal build...

Winged Tyrant, TL: Brain Leeches x2, Thorax Hive is the current "gold standard" and that runs 240...

I strongly suggest you run the Termagants as 50/50, or even 2 to 1 "vanilla" vs Devourer armed (Devilgaunts) that save a boatload of points and costs very little in effectiveness, you just take losses from the "vanilla" gaunts.

Instead of two Exocrenes, I suggest you look at a "Living Artillery" instead (Warrior Brood, x3 Venom Cannon, Biovore Brood, x3, Exocrene) Annother possible answer would be to turn one Exocrene into a Dakkafex, and plow some of the savings from mixing Termagants into a second Dakkafex, that will give you a nice boost in firepower, and an answer to armored vehicles.

Just as an example, I would say Termagant Brood, x10, +10 Devilgaunts...cost 120 and do that 3 times.

I don't much like Hive Guard, but they can be useful, at the least, split out one Zoey into a second Brood for the extra WC, and Powers of the Hive Mind! rolls. Personally I would Realy want a Venothrope, or a Malanthrope. Maybe more than one.

Example:
Hive Guard, x2 110
Zoey Brood, x2 100
Veno Brood, x2 90, or a Malanthrope for 85

Welcome to the Hive Mind!

See Pinecone77 notes but I would split up your zoans because you need more synapse. If you go with LAN (Living Artillery Node) that gives another Synapse but I would have something else to baby sit the hive guard/exocrine if you do not use the LAN. Also you have little to 0 midfield synapse. You cannot rely on the flyrants to babysit the gaunts.

That game put my faith in Khorne to the test. My table-neighbor looked at the match up and said "Here you're going to need these more than I will" and handed me a bag of Jello shots. They must have pleased Khorne because I walked out 11-2.

Now looking at another list with MORE tyrants and MORE mawlocks, I said to myself. "Oh well looks like it's time for another beer. It'll take the sting out of this. LOL"

I have found the Hive Guard to be completely unreliable. Venomthropes are far more important.

You have your tyrants undercosted there too, they should run 230.

You've got a ton of points sunk into the Devilgaunts that are not at all resilient.

I love Exocrines, my armies have 1, usually 2 with a Zoey to babysit them. Splitting the zoanthropes is a must.

It all remains to be seen what nid lists will look like in a few months with the 2 new Big Baddies hitting the deck.
