I am now in the DC area, I'm looking for people who may play 40k fantasy or flames of war, my armies are back on the west coast, I'm debating on sending them here , just looking for a community , or store or group to hang out with nd game from time to time
Let me know!

There are a pretty good selection of stores in the DC area. I do most of my gaming at the the GW bunker in Bowie.

There's also Eagle and Empire in Alexandria. They are a tad smaller, but they give a small discount and play lots of FoW.

One of them filthy casuals...

I'm about 40 miles south of DC. I just got back into 40k and am currently building up a Tyranid army. I'll most likely be going to the GW store in Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax. They will be moving that store to another location sometime before Christmas though.

Thanks guys now I have something to do today! I'll look them up soon @ae1989 I play death korps of krieg, I have about 25000 points back at home, I was trying to come up with a reason to ship it out here, I also have a buddy in NC who has just about the same amount of points in NIds that I do, my army would have to stay at his place since I can't keep it in the barracks I'm in. So I'm still ify on sending it. My other option would just be starting my esylian drop troop army. And going from there,or starting FoW again. I'm going to check out the stores today and let the idea mole around a bit but I'll stay on contact with you and let you know if I start a 40k army soon, a small one that I could fit in my wall locker lol !!

What branch are you in? I was a cop in the Air Force and just got out last May. My Tyranid army isn't ready for games yet. I literally just started, as in I bought a Tyranid Swarm box set/codex yesterday.

I just moved to DC as well. I haven't visited the closest stores in MD and VA yet but if anyone would like to set up a game (out there or inside the city) let me know.

Anyone message me if you want to meet up for a 40k game.

I can meet up at:
Dropzone Games, Glen Burnie MD
Games Workshop, Columbia MD
Huzzah Hobbies, Ashburn VA

My main army is Sisters of Battle with a few Imperial Guard friends.

I used to go to the GW store in Olney MD all the time but it closed about a year ago.

I have been in town for around 6 months and have been unsuccessful in finding a group to play with. I am having my guard brought up over thanksgiving but also have xwing with me now. Someone pm me if you want to play (although 40k would have to wait until post thanksgiving...)

Have you tried checking out Beltway Gamers?

I'm one of he organizers for a 40K group out of Frederick. We're primarily comprised of casual players, with vastly varied levels of experience, who all share a ridiculous obsession with 40K. We play exclusively at members' houses, and usually play 6,000+ point games a few times a month, supplemented by a few weekly smaller games, and a heaping helping of booze. We've got players everywhere from their early 20s to their mid 50s, with 40K careers lasting as little as 6 months, all the way up to guys who have been playing since the Rogue Trader days.

I'd also suggest Eagle & Empire in Alexandria, VA.
It's a small store with focus on FoW and some GW and PP games. Before I moved away in May of this year, he was also offering 10% discount on GW games. Doug can get you just about anything on special order but carries only a core of items (again, mainly FoW).

THUR, FRI and Weekends used to be big. Most of those nights had a dedicated game (e.g., Thursday night was WFB for awhile).
