With the new Glottkin book i have a few questions hoping some people here might help me out.
The unique characters say can take lore of Nurgle. Does this allow them to choose which lore of nurgle they want? As both the DoC and WoC are called Lore of nurgle.
Now i ask because I don't know which was their game design, specifically the lore attribute. Such as if using the DoC lore, they add plaguebearers to a unit if they cause wounds. However if their intent is really the WoC lore, then on a six after the cast the model gains 1 Str and 1 Toughness. That can make a high power creature a bit crazy.
What do you think? Is it a choice since there isn't a specific mention of which book to pull the lore from, or because they have mark & eye they are WoC related and thus use their lore.
Second, the wording of pink horrors is
'A unit of pink horrors is treated as a level 1 wizard that uses spells from the lore of Tzeentch'
The new summon infernal legion says
'All chaos wizard know the Summon Infernal Legion spell in addition to spells they can normally cast'
So pink horrors should be able to summon it looks like, correct me if i'm wrong. I couldn't find post on it stating either way. I did find a post saying that pink horrors can use the lore of undead due to being wizards, so i assume that the summon infernal spell is available
Are characters considered units? The summon spell says summon one unit up to X pts with the demonic special rule. but would a special character or hero/lord be able to be called from the warp?

For the unique characters, since it just says lore of Nurgle I think it would depend on the army you take them with. They specifically say they can be taken with either WOC or a legions of chaos army. If it's a WOC army I would think it would have to be that lore attribute but if it is the legion I think you can choose. Of course I could be wrong and GW can release a errata or faq answering it. You are right that pink horrors can use summon infernal legion and yes a single character is considered a unit so as long as you only summon one and it is on page 17 you can summon it.

I didn't read the book yet, so take this with a grain of salt
A character is a unit, so if the spell just says "summon a unit up to X pts", nothing prevents you from summoning characters
"a unit of Pink horrors is treated as a level 1 wizard that blablablablabla ...", so they definitely are a wizard, which means that nothing would prevent them from summoning budies either
edit: now I'm just waiting for "End Times: Horned Rat" and the spell "spawn minions" in case I need a Brass Orb or such

Pretty sure the one in the DoC book is called the Daemon Lore of Nurgle, which means that they only get the WoC one.

@Krellnus, nope. It is just Lore of Nurgle.

Yeah, we are doing the pick what lore you want lately. I still lean toward the WoC version due to the models all having WoC abilities.
Thanks for the response on the other questions.

IMO for the new casters unless it is a demon of chaos I would rule it as they use the warriors or chaos lore. The casters truly are WoC units that are just available to the other armies.
When listed in the glotkin book does it lable the new guys as WoC or DoC units?

Actually it was called the Daemon Lore in the 7th ed book in the 8th it's just Lore of X. However looking at the lores I think I was wrong before. In the DOC army book in the lore attribute of each lore the first words in each are "when a Daemon casts a spell from the Lore of . . ." I think that means that any spell caster with the demonic rule (which none for the new ones do) uses one of the lore attribute in the DOC book and if they don't it the attribute in the WOC book.
In the table in the Glottkin book the new units are listed as GK for Glottkin though in their profile it says they can be taken with either a legions or a WOC army.
